What’s the name off primer?
You can use any brand of primer, just make sure it is a primer for non-ferrous metals, this means copper, aluminium, lead etc. Look them up online, there are many available brands.

A coat of water based varnish on the foil first, then paint over it.

Great video.. I am learning to make my own lead jigs .. struggling to get hit foil to stick you make it so easy I’ve got quality foil because I’ve bought it of you on eBay .. does it only work if you primmer the lures properly like you show in the video ?
Yes, you need to apply primer first, especially on lead lures. The key is to reach the right temperature and to apply enough pressure. The pressure from your toaster might not be enough. You can just heat up the silicone pad there, take it out and press it against the lure outside the toaster applying a lot more pressure.
What kind of primer do you use on lead?
After you add hot foil. Do you use something to secure it more to the lure. Are is this strong enough?

This whole thing about bying super expensive foil for DIY lures is a scam. I made a silicon foam hot-stamp, and nail foil, vs the foil here?
Exsactly the same.
You might be learned nail foil needs a furface to stick on. And add white glue.
Well...that was yesterday. Anyways, my nail foil for lures performs exactly the same....

That's not the point. And no it's not cheaper to buy jigs in store. One good jig cost from 10€ to 15€ and making one yourself cost 2€
