On June 19, 2021 (another Father’s Day) Project1VOICE honored Ron Simons with our Transformative Trailblazer Award during our 2nd Annual Project1VOICE Honors Award Live Telecast. We should always give people their flowers while they are still here on earth.
This is Ron’s acceptance speech for his Project1VOICE HONOR. I was searching for a unique way to memorialize this titan of the entertainment industry, this speech epitomizes who Ron was and will always be. He left an impressive mark that changed us all forever and for good.
BTW, pay no attention to me on camera. This entire presentation was unscripted, unrehearsed, and unbelievable all at the same time. It was rough. However, I hope can look beyond my flaws and enjoy this celebration of the brilliance, creativity and vision of one of our ancestor’s dreams.
