I dont know if you guys caught it or not, but Neb QB had the ball come loose three times and he was fortunate to get two of them back. Another thing that I want to mention, is the facemask by the recievers. I have seen it on a number of plays this year. I mean, when do they call offencive PI on that. Even in the Ohio state game when Smith grabbed Lee by the collar and elavated for the catch. A stiff arm is one thing, but a grab and control is another. Ive seen it too many times this year and Smith is one of the biggest culprits. As for Stratton, you cant put too much fault on him this week because he wasnt even practicing with the ones until a week and a half ago and this was a shirt week. Nebraska just followed the pattern of not worrying about a pass game and just load the box to stop the run. Seems a few other teams did that too.
5 fumbles altogether by Nebraska according to the scoresheet, 2 lost. Not sure if the muff counts as one of them. Plenty of drops by the Nebraska receivers too. Plenty cold night, but yikes.
Evidently our national trash culture has spilled over into the Nebraska locker room. Why on earth would Matt Ruhl condone his players not shaking hands? Why does he walk through Iowa’s warmup area? Why does he say, “who are you?” to Jay Higgins? This country is seemingly full of people who consciously reject sportsmanship and class in favor of a “screw that guy - I am going to destroy him” attitude. Having a burning desire to win is one thing, but forgetting what it means to be manly and decent is another. If Iowa players ever acted like that, I would quit watching the team. That’s not what sports is supposed to be about.
Good points. I find it ironic that the NFL and college sports is full of catch phrases like "Stop Hate" but the same people are the ones taunting, making crude gestures, and talking in hyperbolic terms like "We hate them, and they hate us." I am not sure which is having a worse influence on college sports--the NIL or the NBA and NFL. I do appreciate that KF does not tolerate the over the top stuff that leads to incidents like we saw with Michigan-OSU and Florida-Florida State. I am sure the NCAA will respond with more impossible to enforce rules but it starts with coaches--they should get fined for that type of conduct and if it is egregious, lose a scholarship.
Nebraska continues to be a shining example of a program with a complete lack of class, a win at all cost mentality supported by an apologetic fan base who don’t seem to understand this.
It has been funny watching their fans explain why despite losing again to Iowa, they are the better program. I guess this is why Tone Loc and Vanilla Ice are still trending in Nebraska--stuck in the 90's.
How can you put the offensive struggles on Stratton or any other QB? The offense, save KJ’s run game, looks eerily similar to the predictable BF offense. What portal qb who will be an upgrade wants to come to Iowa and throw 15 times for 100 yards? Lester has been a major disappointment.
252 yards and 18 ppg in 2022 235 yards and 15 ppg in 2023 332 yards and 28 ppg in 2024 With similar QB play, I’d say that is a substantial jump, not to mention an All-American year for KJ2. Wait until Lester finds his QB1.
@@Codester91670 Relative to the BF clown show, either of us would be a breath of fresh air. My POV is based on the complete lack of a passing game. He came in talking RPO, play action, getting the ball in the hands of playmakers and being unpredictable. I saw none of this from start to finish. Wetjen is a big play waiting to happen but what did he get 2-3 jet sweeps all season? The red zone struggles under Lester is another data point. I would bet we went backwards more than forwards inside the 20 and despite being Tight End U., these guys were lucky to get a ball per game. QB revolving door did not help, but you don't help your QB by putting them in obvious passing downs so the D can send the kitchen sink.

There was way too many Nebraska fans at the game!
My Lord ? What did Adam do to his beard, looks weeks past due for a trimming
People are way too hard on Cade.

Lester has been a breath of fresh air what are you talking about.
