•Fill several smaller, "food saver" bags with single items inside. A t-shirt. Their underoos, a sock. Create scent capsules. You'll retain their scent longer, and won't lose bits of these smells every time you open the larger bags. These can be emergency capsules for when you need a physical "fix", y'know?
As for grieving? There's no set timeline. Everyone is different.
The loss of a loved one, especially someone so close, is highly traumatic and devastating. To me, it feels like huge wound that never fully heals. Like, when you have an accidental injury: a deep burn or cut, and, even decades after it heals, you still have a sore or numb spot in that area.
