Re zero taking 4 years for a single season is justified. I haven't read the light novel myself, but as per I've heard, one volume of re zero takes about 2 years to complete in the light novel. Normally, re zero covers around 2 volumes of the light novel (on an average). So, That makes sense. So, if I'm assuming the time period till re zero ends, there is still about 8 years for the light novel. And possibly about 12 years for the anime to complete
