City within a city within a country within a country within a continent within a planet within a solar system within a galaxy within a universe

@@Jonesyb90hows he incorrect city of London is its own county its Not part of Greater London eventhough its london it has its own police force expect from met police City of London police
@@Tommyevansbackup yeh your both right, apologies, I had a brain fart.
To everyone saying the smallest city is actually st David's, that's in Wales and not england
True
Bangor NI
err~! description smallest city in England
"In England "is the clue 🤡
@@georgebarnes8163He said in England
Spoken with such enthusiasm
Greater London isn't a city, it's a ceremonial county and a region of the uk. It lacks any official city status.
Illuminati headquarters
exactly
Be careful when visiting there 😛 it's been raining so hard over the past few days and freezing cold it was all flooded people were slipping over no sun for days. Litter everywhere sadly.
Council tax must be crazy
The smallest city in England is Wells in Somerset where they filmed hot fuzz.
Just had a look on the 2021 census it has a size of 2.43 sq miles so would make it double size of city of London. Maybe expanded since hot fuzz I think
City of London only has 8,700 people, very small population to count as a city. But it’s still as much as a city as Birmingham or Liverpool is, despite having a very small population (although many places in the southwest only have populations in the hundreds, these are villages and towns)
@@dr.kj10 that’s true but wells is classed as a city because it has a cathedral.
@@disgruntled4298 wells, at its last record had around ten thousand people which doesn’t make it the smallest
@@disgruntled4298A cathedral doesn’t make a city, its just a requirement to be a city
Wait until lil bro finds out about boroughs
Literally
someone finally said it
That’s the borough. City of London
It reminds me of Manila, which is a small city within the Metro Manila(Metropolitan Manila) which is comprised of 16 other cities.
manila is a poor place. old men go there to abuse
Metro Manila.

I think you'll find that Wells, Somerset may be England's smallest city....
Depends on your measurement. Wells is actually twice the area of London, and has approx 3x The population
What an abhorrent answer!!! You are a fool if you think Wells Somerset is the smallest. You are exposing yourself for the fake travel fan that you are.
@@MadMullet81 Yeah, but The City of London isn‘t really a city in my opinion. I feel like to be a city it needs to be clearly seperated from other cities or towns. I consider Slough or Watford as being part of London, as they aren’t clearly a seperate entity, whereas Wells is clearly seperate from surrounding towns such as Wookey.
Plus, Wells is a lot more interesting than the City of London and would’ve made for a more interesting video.
@@BrokenIET according to England, those are considered 'Kingdoms' So London is technically a 'Kingdom' and the queen lives in the city of Westminster
@@zHeng_2K queen? Hehe
Isn’t ely the smallest city? The city of London is just a borough of London whereas ely is just a town but because it has a cathedral it is classed as a city
The City of London is not a borough
No, the City of London is a city. The clue is in the name 😅
As a British I can say that there is a lot going on
I’ve been living in London for 6 years and I’m only learning this now lol
have you never seen the city of london police ? they’re pretty noticeable
@@corsacs3879 nope never notice the difference 😅 worst part is I’ve been leaving in Liverpool Street for a full year
Was just going to The Square Mile. It also has James Hoffmann's coffee roaster ie which is aptly called Square Mike Coffee Roastery. Isn't the square mile the oldest part of London?
Well city of london is just north of the river Thames, but I think when the Romans made the city of Londinium they included both sides of the river but in the same area because the city was originally made because it was the fort/town with the only bridge across the Thames.
@@amourif thank you.
I didn't know this, and I've been here 40 odd years...
Also visit the city of westminster
So basically its like new york city in new york
I just love london❤
funny joke
Same I absolutely love it my favourite city in the world
@@6kbpsu must live in Luton

Nah it’s the most overrated city I’ve been to. I only go regularly cause my parents sometimes have work conferences there
it isn’t a separate county, the city of london is a borough in london
It doesn't have it's own government.
It has its own council
@@MrHorserider15like a borough?
@@howardchambers9679 It has it's own Mayor, so no, not like a Borough.
@@quintonlee4107 the borough I live in has its own mayor
@@howardchambers9679 I live in tower hamlets, and we have our own mayor, most inner city boroughs do have a mayor. City of London stuff is more ceremonial. The actual people that own the city of London are the big FTSE 100 companies 🙄
Its actually the city of Wells located in Somerset
It also has its own police force and its own flag, im pretty sure its not actually technically part of the uk.
St David's. Pembrokeshire.
Which is in Wales, not England. Although the video is still incorrect
@boxhead171 even if you ignore St David's being in Wales rather than England, St David's is 17 times larger than the officials City of London!!
How did l not know this as a British person living in London
The City of London also includes a part of Scotland that isn't in the UK but is in London.
What?
@@jalalalap-akalala before the UK was United Scotland had an embassy in the Square Mile. This counts and Scottish land but not British land because of some legal quirk. Pretty sure that is Scotland Yard.
@@bioux101 didn't even know this, so it doesn't count as being part of the United Kingdom, even though Scotland is in the United Kingdom?
@@jalalalap-akalala apparently.
@@bioux101 pretty cool
London a city has a city within which even identifies as a country hows that possible
County not country
London is City, Greater London not is City
“Identifies as a county” perfect way to sum up the mess that are English counties… what with ceremonial, historic, administrative and now defunct but mostly still used postal counties.
That being said… the City of London is a ceremonial county and although historically in Middlesex it had autonomy from that county for most of its history and now it administers itself for most purposes but for some strategic matters it is run by the Mayor of (Greater) London, just like every London Borough.
So I think it’s safe to say that it is a county, unless you are the Association of British Counties who advocates strict adherence to historic counties but I prefer using a more case by case system when personally deciding what is a county and what isn’t, based mostly on ceremonial counties except Huntingdonshire which deserves to be recognised as its own ceremonial county like rutland is. But ultimately there are lots of types of counties for different purposes and people will always argue over which is best for cultural reasons or whatever 😅
Cityh wizin a cityh
😂
Im visting London as im watching this
the county is Greater london which is the entire london not city of london
Technically the Cify Of London is its own county within Greater London.
I think a lot of it is closed at weekends
Doesn’t actually have its own government, still controlled by uk government. It’s own council but that’s the same as most areas.
Mom... Dad..... I identify as Cœůņťrëëụghhĥ
i guess i do have an accent then.
City of London is one borough of the 33 boroughs in the county (yes without the r) of Greater London. Counties and Shires make up England.
It's a big tourist trap lol I live in tower Hamlets and most locals avoid it tbh
" its located in the HUH of London" .😂
I think the UK's smallest city is St Davids in Pembrokeshire!
Regards Phillip
I like the fact that you signed (provide a salutation) at the end of your youtube comment.
Wells, Somerset
Thanks for the Welsh appreciation. Population less than 3000.
Thats not in England tho
@@snakeywells7045It’s all well and good but he specified “England” in the video
I live in London it's amazing I now all about it I live in London
Just went to tower bridge today, absolutely boring, trash, rainy, cold, windy, muddy and i could go on.
Isn't city of London just the borough name just like Lewisham, Brixton etc
Nope, it is not a part of Greater London in any way
Why am i stuck on his pronunciation of impoh'ant(important) 00:20 😂
Is like you ain’t going to afford anything in there. Maybe coffe. Lunch probably not anymore…
the camera man becoming a person
Like when some immigration officers read that I’m born in Westminster in my

That’s essentially pretty much how Toronto works
you sound so excited to make this video
i would. I love london
I live in Finsbury all my life there’s no real difference except on weekends
MANCHESTER CITY The Best Team In The Land And All The World
Wells in Somerset is the smallest city in England
No it’s Royal Tunbridge Wells
Wells?
Isn’t it Saint David’s?
Welcome to Westminster
I live in it - so there, and what is it really like? uffff
Wouldn’t it be Wells?

I love The City of London ❤
Don't go there. It is inhabited by goblins.

Londres é impressionante. Cosmopolita. Concilia o passado com o presente, conserva a história e contempla o futuro. Fiquei no Picadilly por 10 dias, mas percorri outros bairros, foi incrível ❤❤❤
Technically not as the the
London metro is classed under the city as geography Like brum
But where does London bridge live?
I guess I'll never know... 😊
Lake Havasu,we sold it
The emphasis on the 't' in "city" is heavier than the heaviest object in the world😂
What, you say ci’y?
City of London not to be confused with London, Ontario a city in Canada nor London XKG
Why the hell would London be confused by anybody worldwide but a tiny town ??? It’s also in Canada as you mention so we stole it anyway
That's where the maffia is but never see any getting arrested 😂
What about greater London
Colchester left the chat
Colchester is in Essex not London
Its also a town not a city
@@blazeጸወታታትwhat's that got to do with anything?
@@dr18037nope it is a city, but it's far larger than the City of London so still not relevant!
@@davidthomas9165 i stand corrected, I was basing off of the Colchester Town named station
I swear City of London is a borough/local authority in the actual city of London. London/Greater London is the county.
ikr. Its so confusing even though i was born and raised in this pure heaven.
I thought that England's smallest city was Rochester.
It’s nice but it doesn’t seem like it’s own thing because of how connected it is to the rest of London
I know that from Ac Syndicate
Your first problem with this video is - nobody outside London gives a toss
It's basically within the boundary of the old medieval city.
No, it’s actually based around the Roman city of ‘londinium’ its was actually quite a bit bigger by the medieval age
@yourlocalpineapple Not quite, the current boundary exceeds the old Roman Wall and is closer to the medieval boundary.
What about Saint David’s city?
Not in England (Pembrokeshire) and still larger than the square mile. Lovely place though
LOOK INTO THE HISTORY. BUNCH OF RICH PEOPLE WHO IWN EVERYTHING.
I ve been there
London City is a city inside the city of London which is inside the country of England which is inside the country of Britan!
Which is inside Europe
