An absolutely stellar documentary of the bands entire history, including every known release and shenanigans, coupled with amazing editing and overall aesthetics. A masterful work. You deserve a special amount of recognition and props for making something this laborious, which you obviously did out of pure love for the band, it's a an honorable and commendable effort. Great stuff. And as a wise man once said. Death Grips is pretty hardcore stuff.

1:45:47 my tweet they retweeted made the video lol Also, this is the ultimate DG video, you legit covered the unknown songs, ARG, and album sound in a full documentary with amazing editing and a striking visual style that fits DG. Great job, hopefully this doesn’t go under-appreciated. The credits featuring every final DG song going to the first track by them, is surprisingly nostalgic for me, and a great wrap up. I hope you make a follow up in the future, possibly when the band is fully over.
2:30 those two pictures were not the original aborigine man on the exmilitary cover. the picture that the band used was very recently recovered by an austraulian archeologist. its from a documentary-style book called People of the Dreamtime.
1:42:10 it isnt just ride playing with toy cars. he also is seen with a tool called a "dowsing rod", which was first stuck in the ground by 16th century people, believed to be able to locate ground water or minerals
This video is ridiculously well researched and put together. I've seen multiple different videoes detailing the history of death grips, most of them repeated the same points. But I learned at least 20 new details while watching this video. This video deserves more attention!
The songs for Fashion Week are actually “Runway” not runaway, each track is supposed to be a soundtrack to a fashion runway, when the models walk down the cat walk, the instrumentals are supposed to create this atmosphere which it does successfully, put on any track over a runway show and it works
And when I thought I knew everything about the band I'm hit with this! Learnt so much and was entertained all through out. Keep up the good work mate, hope this video gets more, well deserved, attention!
Thank you, finally a video that addresses it all. Watched the whole thing and even as someone who has been following them for years and visiting the subreddit daily i still learned a lot.
i have probably commented on 3 youtube videos in my entire life, but watch youtube every single day. this video was so good i HAD to leave a comment. this video is by far the most well put together video about death grips I have ever seen and probably will ever see, and the recognition it got is utterly disappointing. you earned a new subscriber man, cant wait to see what else you share on your channel.

undeniably, the most influential group of the 2010s. every artist that debut'd post-2010 followed their lead. it created a parallel universe of online music
This is an excellent history of deathgrips. Will you consider updating it or squealing it with another to catch up on the newest developments sometime? Maybe after another album or something is released.
11:35 From my understanding of the Money Store cover, it's a BDSM couple leaving a Walmart. The idea was to combine the sick and twisted with everyday life, showing that it's become utterly banal. This reflects the bands themes of the album: the rising of the depraved to the surface and how little it phases us anymore.
dg may not be for everyone but its universally appreciated by heavy and repetition-oriented music listeners for being as good as it gets in many regards so while they are not for everyone they are essentially the only heavy band everyone agrees on and that means they are astronomically popular. sorry for everyone who finds this less fun, but dg came out over 10 years ago and were far from a secret/ did not remain an underground thing very long simply bc the music was obviously unbelievable from the jump. also while they do make music for outsiders they do not make 'outsider music' (jandek daniel johnston, tonetta are actual examples of this)
After watching The Fyre Documentary i can see how he learned from his time with them by taking his experiences with the group and basically put them all together to create the entity "Mc Ride"
Strong 9 to a 10 on this documentary.
