Experimental Commentary/Documentary
An absolutely stellar documentary of the bands entire history, including every known release and shenanigans, coupled with amazing editing and overall aesthetics. A masterful work.
You deserve a special amount of recognition and props for making something this laborious, which you obviously did out of pure love for the band, it's a an honorable and commendable effort.
Great stuff.
And as a wise man once said.
Death Grips is pretty hardcore stuff.
But he said the n word, so cancelled
@@sergiomingo9927how do you know that he doesn't have dark skin 💀
@@FK-13 dude I left this comment ironically three years ago Jesus Christ

In the works since February 1st.
Questions will be answered, corrections will be hearted and this will be pinned.
you didn't pin this dingus
1:45:47 my tweet they retweeted made the video lol
Also, this is the ultimate DG video, you legit covered the unknown songs, ARG, and album sound in a full documentary with amazing editing and a striking visual style that fits DG. Great job, hopefully this doesn’t go under-appreciated.
The credits featuring every final DG song going to the first track by them, is surprisingly nostalgic for me, and a great wrap up. I hope you make a follow up in the future, possibly when the band is fully over.
Now you're famous! Gotta add that to your IMDB
2:30 those two pictures were not the original aborigine man on the exmilitary cover. the picture that the band used was very recently recovered by an austraulian archeologist. its from a documentary-style book called People of the Dreamtime.
8:45 fyred up was sampled from zach hills solo record from 2011 Lil Scuzzy
37:29 this is a double headed orphic egg, not a traditional one
1:04:14 its “runway” not “run away” lol
1:16:30 the songs ride were performing were mainly no love deep web tracks, but a few others as well.
1:42:10 it isnt just ride playing with toy cars. he also is seen with a tool called a "dowsing rod", which was first stuck in the ground by 16th century people, believed to be able to locate ground water or minerals
This is seriously the best Death Grips video ever released. No hyperbole, no exaggeration, Amazing job. Thank you for making this
This video is ridiculously well researched and put together.
I've seen multiple different videoes detailing the history of death grips, most of them repeated the same points. But I learned at least 20 new details while watching this video. This video deserves more attention!
this is most likely one of the best videos i've seen on youtube as a whole
Zach here. Thanks man
no your chris bell
Zach here. Thanks man
Winston Churchill here. Thanks man
hi zach (stefan here)
Spaghetti here. Sup.
People will look back at this video, if not come across it in many years and appreciate this documentary for what it is, it's importance shall remain.
true
A Death Grips documentary *with* music from the Halo soundtrack? This video truly is a buried gem of knowledge.
5 minutes in and this is remarkably extensive. Great job. Stay legend.
And when I thought I knew everything about the band I'm hit with this! Learnt so much and was entertained all through out. Keep up the good work mate, hope this video gets more, well deserved, attention!
This is the quintessential DG documentary. Amazing job!
Stay Noided
Stay Legend
The dedication you put into this video will never be paralleled. Reminds me of how I feel about a certain band.
this is well worth the wait thank you daddy
Based LukeDukeShoot
I've been listening to these guys, extensively searching for info and stuff about them. This is perfect to quench that thirst of discovery
Thank you, finally a video that addresses it all. Watched the whole thing and even as someone who has been following them for years and visiting the subreddit daily i still learned a lot.
One of the best videos I've seen on youtube... the quality of this documentary is crazy
Holy fuck, i did not expect this to be a fucking professional documental, excelent job bro
I’m gonna be honest, I’m not that familiar with Death Grips, but they seem pretty interesting
Did you listen them now?
@@MrOcote-gp9fu Aeromatic
, i got a new account, I listened to their full discography, and liked it!
@@____3402 cool
@@____3402 are you still listening to death grips?
imagine watching a 2 hour video about some band you don't really know
i have probably commented on 3 youtube videos in my entire life, but watch youtube every single day. this video was so good i HAD to leave a comment. this video is by far the most well put together video about death grips I have ever seen and probably will ever see, and the recognition it got is utterly disappointing. you earned a new subscriber man, cant wait to see what else you share on your channel.
I don't even want to think about how many hours went into making this video. Honestly one of the best vids I've ever seen on RUclips. Incredibly well researched, edited and paced
Most thourough deep dive into Death Grips history I’ve seen. Your editing reminds me of DG’s music production. Sensory overload!
This was so well done that I was surprised it was over, knowing it was two hours long.
The songs for Fashion Week are actually “Runway” not runaway, each track is supposed to be a soundtrack to a fashion runway, when the models walk down the cat walk, the instrumentals are supposed to create this atmosphere which it does successfully, put on any track over a runway show and it works
I fkn love their old ship exmilitary is one of the greatest albums I've ever heard
this group is so dope hell yea fuck yea I feel like killin it
Best group to ever exist. So above and beyond a “band” great video man, I appreciate how much effort you put into this
this is by far the best death grips related video ive seen. cheers homie.
U killed this doc, thank u so much
this is probably the most comprehensive death grips video
Took a month total but I finished this doc. Excellent, excellent job. Stay noided
What a doc. Thanks. Death grips reminds me that I’m not going insane. Cuz I’m not.
The editing in this video is fantastic
this is too underrated
AMAZING doc man. Thanks for doing this and sharing it with us for free
such a well edited video, but so unnoticed. i seriously love this. you've earned a sub.
Man, that’s fucking mind blowing work! Thank you! Death Grips Is Online.
My god you literally put SO MUCH effort into this video and you got so few views?? Sucks man
I'm more content with what I made more than what I gained from it.
@@ChampGnionsYT god bless you
do you still have plans to pursue content creation?
@@ChampGnionsYT punk af but honestly not a surprising perspective from someone with such an understanding of death grips and their whole MO. great stuff man
This is exceptional. Thank you.
This is absolutely amazing dude I just finished watching. Incredible work brother
Holy fucking shit this video is so insanely well made. Like what the actual fuck this needs more recognision
Keep it up and your gonna be big
Zach here thanks man
An absolutely amazing documentary, I feel there can be nothing that can top this. Truly incredible.
how could 24 people watch this video and have the nerve to dislike
you put so much effort only to be rewarded with a measly 31k views
Guillotine is probably their most popular just because it became such a big meme at the time
These guys are paving the way for a next wave of urban music ♥♥♥
This man deserves wayy more subscribers
i like how the HL2 OSTs are playing in the background sometimes.
Good shit; this is a quality RUclips video.
This is great to watch even if one is not into the band. Much respect for the editing and all the nerdy info, really enjoyable
Truly great work. Superb talents on show here. Thank you, sincerely. Big Love from Bangkok.
Amazing video man. This is the longest, most extensive and wellmade DG video. I also love the half life music haha.
you are truly underrated
This is one of the greatest videos on RUclips and it only has 45k views…
This is an excellent history of deathgrips. Will you consider updating it or squealing it with another to catch up on the newest developments sometime? Maybe after another album or something is released.
I've covered their foundation, their path, all that's left is their end, I hope that takes a while same for a continuation.
With a band like DG... hpw will we even know when their end has come?
Death grips truly delivered the phantom-like quality I love in artists.
Love the edit of this video, all the atmosphere is like the hotline miami games cut scenes
Easily the most insightful and valuable video about the band made so far.
it wont lit - great deep dive into the mythos even for long time fan some new intel here. great job boyo
God the story of NLDW is badass, there's no better way to describe it
Did you just use some Half-Life OST songs on this? Amazing.
Lmao I just heard CP Violation
After watching The Fyre Documentary i can see how he learned from his time with them by taking his experiences with the group and basically put them all together to create the entity "Mc Ride"
One of the best videos on this platform
This video deserves atleast 500k views
this is so underrated, im posting this on reddit now
This is done so well!
NOTE: 25:50 the "game" used is a infamous "deep web" game that had some really bad images in it.....There is a video or two about it on YT.
What an incredible video! Thank you for that
definetely underrated, great footage
dg may not be for everyone but its universally appreciated by heavy and repetition-oriented music listeners for being as good as it gets in many regards
so while they are not for everyone they are essentially the only heavy band everyone agrees on and that means they are astronomically popular.
sorry for everyone who finds this less fun, but dg came out over 10 years ago and were far from a secret/ did not remain an underground thing very long simply bc the music was obviously unbelievable from the jump. also while they do make music for outsiders they do not make 'outsider music' (jandek daniel johnston, tonetta are actual examples of this)
undeniably, the most influential group of the 2010s. every artist that debut'd post-2010 followed their lead. it created a parallel universe of online music
This is excellent man, well done
Leaked on my b'day. My fave DG album! Black Dice = most bangin tune ever.
blew my mind - incredible my friend
underrated vid, great death grips documentary.
great job
Great documentary, do not give up.
very impressive...super through good job assuming you did this here, if not well im old and fried so it follows...
seriously tho, this one of the few hr long youtube videos ive ever watched all the way through(over 2days but still) Pretty only one i think ive commented on.
keep it up man, watching your first dg one rn, 11min seems doable but yeah idk hopefully there'll be more dg stuff for a thorough follow up
Big house is an underrated track, one of my faves from their whole discography
Amazing documentary🔥🔥🔥
This video needs so much more attention
stop saying "buh-jork"
Superb 🤘🏻
Wow so awesome, thanks bud

Awesome vid hombre
pretty hardcore stuff
This shit really drags on after like an 40 min. Seemed like 4 hours and more of a relief to get it over with rather than thinking, "cool, now i know a bunch of stuff about death grips"
Amazing visual effects allthrogh this video@
This is the number one most edited youtube video of all time.
This deserves more views
What a great video
This will blow up in a couple of months mostlikely
probably when/if they release something
Deserves more views 1000%
