Fun fact: Although it looks like Super Junior's "One More Time (Otra Vez)" was filmed in somewhere like Las Vegas, they were actually in Macao China, which is kind of like the Las Vegas of China, and it was filmed at the MGM Resort there. (Check out the VLive post of their SJ Returns reality show to see a behind the scenes of them shooting this MV. It has English subs.) Most of the behind the scenes footage looks like Super Junior filmed by themselves, so I think the reason it looks like they don't have very much interaction with Reik is because the parts with Reik may have been filmed separately. Reik is a pop-rock band from Mexico, which is a trio that is made up of the main vocalist and the two guitar players and they are indeed popular in Latin America. There were 8 SuJu members + 3 Reik members in this MV. As Es mentioned, we didn't see Heechul sing or dance in the MV. Not only did he not participate in the dancing, but he was recovering from some health issues at this time that prevented him from singing or rapping in this song as well. So, that's why we saw him sitting in the chair and only killing us with his looks this time. LOL This MV came out in October 2018, so at this point the oldest members Leeteuk and Heechul were 34 and Ryeowook, one of the maknaes of the group, was 31. This MV was actually the first MV that Ryeowook was in after being released from his military service, and Kyuhyun wasn't in the MV because he was still doing his time as a public servant as part of his military obligations. If you like SuJu's Latin vibe, check out the Korean version of "I Think I" (they also have a Japanese version with its own MV.) and "Animals", or -- if you want to see why Es says SuJu aren't normal "real people" LOL -- check out "Ahora Te Puedes Marchar", which is a remake/parody of a famous Spanish song by Luis Miguel. ;)
Macao! Now that makes sense and yes, shooting stuff separately must play into that disconnected feeling. LOL at Heechul killing us with his looks! Gotta play to your strengths, right? ;) -Kay
Leeteuk said on Weekly Idol that the MV was done by the same director as a Bruno Mars MV who "got paid a lot, but we weren't happy with the results" so they reshot it in Korea. So I'm assuming that for the most part the Reik footage is all that survived the South American "original" MV. Explaining the very separated feel. 😂😂😂

(Check out their VLive post of their SJ Returns reality show to see behind the scenes of them shooting this MV.) I'm not sure if Leeteuk meant it was reshot in Korea or if he just said they refilmed parts of the MV, but I think judging from the behind the scenes footage, most of the MV uses the footage from their China shoot. However, I think you're right about the fact that a lot of the parts with Reik and SuJu weren't filmed together, because they had to reshoot some of the video after.
the real people comment cracked me up 😂 I get what you mean actually I feel like that too, maybe it's cause they're handsome idols and they seem so unreal that seeing them with regular people is interesting 😭 I loved the reaction though it was really fun 💙
Thank you! I told Kay that viewers would know. No offence to either Suju or REIK, just that idols look like elves or fairies when in the same frame with other guys. Same with women of course.
looooved the "real people" comment 🤣 Yes Reik is really popular in LATAM, I don't know much of their music but I think they mostly do ballads. Nice that you are getting used to seeing many Sujus in one video 💙
Ahahaha I know, Es was killing me with that! 😂 Ballads absolutely make sense, REIK definitely gives off that type of vibe. Kind of mellow, soulful and all that. And yes, look at me! Change comes slowly 😁 -Kay
I love the music, but you're right there's a disconnect between the artists in the mv. I wonder if they had only one day to shoot the scenes where the two groups are together, so they probably didn't have much time to build connections. I would love to hear more music from the two.
I feel it was a bit shoehorned in. Mostly because usually you see either collab or product placement, not both. So I feel like the collab was organized into a planned Boucheron-vid because Lo Siento did so well. Mind you, ofc. in SK they didn't have Leslie Grace but girls from the group Kard in their music show performances, and that was also wildly liked by both Suju and Kard fans. Which is a bit sad, because in the 2nd and 3rd gen having male idols perform with female idols was done and great fun, but 4th gen idols are sometimes scared to even look at another idol for fear of fan reaction. Hmm, maybe I should show Kay my fave idol collab sometime....
@@finnishfriendsreact yeah I'm not sure what happened in SK, but I think they've become more conservative. I like Rain's music from 2008, and his stuff was baudy in comparison to current trends. Show us your fav collab!
no matter how handsome and unreal SuJu looks, but those who follow them know they are one of the idols who interact most with normal people. they are everywhere in industry. quite down to earth. in later album they have been trying to catch up new fashion/ look style of Kpop a bit ow in early album, they look quite normal/real as common people out there. I personally too feel that K-pop has gone too much into maintaining good appearance of idol and focusing more onto performance rather than good composing and singing.
As a person who has watched a lot of 2nd gen contents and Suju in variety (like that suju challenge ...human body something, that!) they are TOP tier funny.

Oh wow, that would explain a lot! 😅 It does make one wonder what was wrong with the first video... Thanks for watching! :) -Kay

Absolutely, suju is a must know for a new Kpop enjoyer like Kay!
