Lathrix play They Are Billions!!!! It's a strategy RTS that involves a steampunk town that you build up and defend from the zombie apocalypse. Lots of other youtubers started to upload it and they're really popular but they aren't that good at it and I'm sure that you can make a series and stomp on their records!
The rods between the rods are transparent(things can go trough them, not that they are see-trough) so you could have the foot go between the hip and the opposite [knee?] allowing the legs to be a lot shorter.
hey lathrix try Uncrewed, its a real-time strategy game for the PC with the ability to design units from scratch. Unlike in more traditional RTS, units obey the laws of physics, making design choices especially important. i bought it personally and its very fun to build some types of units like gunships and landships there are waters which you can build hovercrafts (not like robocraft its more like the traditional hovercraft there is today) but sadly there are no huge vessels that kinda makes me sad ofc you can build as big as you can but... i would like to build a mothership but eh its early access maybe they will implement bigger updates for bigger units but i would like to see your first impression to this game called uncrewed and it would make me happy i may not be the dev of this game but.... i would still be happy anyways cause its a game that i hope gets popular like robocraft and from the depths :D
Theoretically you could make auto turrets by placing lasers on a motorized hinge with a hostile tracker on the gun part of the turret (Gun)(detector)(hinge)(craft)
For combination of stability and to deal with uneven terrain.. you want 2 sets of legs. Either 2 or 4 legs per set. You can't do 3... due to it being unstable. It's unstable because of the 90 degree grid system not allowing you to pie off thirds.
So, an idea I had looking at your build. You have two legs attached to the same rotating hip. If you had a series of hips that each had one leg, but the starting position of those legs were staggered, it might work better. Basically, have it look like this: 0 0 0 0-0-0-0-0-0 1 0 1 0 1 0 1 1 1 Where 0 is a motor hinge and 1 is the leg strut. Then it will move more like an actual caterpillar, in theory.
Hey! Tiny humanoid designer here :) To cancel the friction between the two motorized hinges, my trick is just to put them diagonally (or somewhat inclined), since it adds a little more space between them. Cool video btw also i'm very flattered that you used my design. =D

Once you master legs, I'd love to see an AT-AT. A massive, 4 legged walker capable of carrying drones in the main body and having all the lasers attached to the head. I think it would be awesome.
I imagine someone on the planet looks up and sees your giant drone deploying space ship and they're just like "ah no what does he have for us this time?"
Lathland i love you channel it’s really inspiring it helped me play games and build awesome builds every time I try to build in my terratech I get nervous about it and I build something just stupid one time I wanted to try and replicate one of your builds and I ended up just making a tank with uzi’s I was trying to build your missile tank i really like your channel it taught me how to build stuff in terra tech and I’m sorry if you a little mad that I tried to copy one of your builds in terratech #I’ve been subed for a whole year
Lath it really triggers me when you use two 2 or 4 single fuel tanks when you could easily replace them with a double or quad fuel tank. It happens with power batteries as well, so is there a reason for this?
The single fuel tanks are conisdered by many to be the best fuel tanks in the game, though they lack in capacity (Which only really matters in sumo.. kinda) They have a MUCH greater automatic refill rate, which also occurs during use - there is almost no reason other than stability or to cut down on part numbers (Again, only in sumo and battle arena does this count) to use the larger variants of the fuel tanks. The double fuel tank can't recharge at all and becomes dead weight VERY quickly as other fuel tanks can't feed into it. As for the energy cells, the smallest is a good medium between the largest and second largest as it has 'ok' capacity and 'ok' recharge with recharge being the most important, the solar cell is heavy with a much greater recharge rate (Hence my use for it on all larger craft, just look at the satellite!) but since it is heavy and hard to place sometimes it is easier to default to the smallest variant just for testing. The second largest energy cell once again has very very poor recharge but great capacity which is pretty worthless in any testing or mission completion. Hope that clears it up a little! ^_^

Lath, you can put the hinges closer, move them right next to the main hinge, then the one on the left up by .5, and the one on the right down by .5

For steep hills you could add a jetpack kind of thing. Press a button and it give you a boost up or something along those lines

Make the walker on the left walk the same direction as the rest so it's like covering the back while the two drones escort the main robot.

Also, you could make a sensor with lazers attached that would flatten the earth infront of the robot,limited to the height of the robot.
