Having Fun & Keeping it Loose

Hiya,
Last week's opening reception was a success!
However, returning to the studio after the opening felt curious. Picking up the momentum again wasn't so smooth, I needed a day to asses and I realized I needed to play. There's a certain amount of pressure that goes into having an art opening and I think that gave me a hint of uncertainty as to my next steps; ohh, to overthink things! So thankful for the act of letting go, of having fun with my practice, and loosening up- it was just what I needed. I brought my paintings back to what I love most about this process: color, texture, form, and yes, play.
I also heard something the other day about no need to push or force, but loosening ones grip to realize what it is that we have. I like that.
Here's to enjoying art making for all it's worth!
The act of creating is full of so many good lessons :)
