6:50 oh no, you always tend to forget that you are locked out of attachment unlocks due to them being missions, especially the bayonet unlock that requires you to sell a gun that has the tier 2 bayonet on it
Also the helix barrel ignores bullet spread according to the first line of its description. "Bullets will fire in a Helix pattern, ignoring Bullet Spread."
Right from the get go: i like your way of thinking in waiting arround for the reroll/banish-pods, but you can still pick up the blue glowing ones that only give you the tunings, in turn enabling you to hold off even longer!
Once you get a few mods unlocked and unlock gene mutations it gets a lot easier to make stronger builds, it takes a few runs just running around trying to find unlocks before you will really be able to survive a run.
Skipping the Chevron charm twice on the first drop while lamenting the lack of scaling options is peak satire. Also, the second Simpsons word was “embiggen”.
Another note, for whoever this helps. The railgun is interesting, it does have a charge mechanic, auto fire will briefly charge it but not fully charge it The charge time is based on rate of fire. However, the damage listed is not for the charged shot, and when manually firing, it's a semi auto that can fire as fast as you can pull the trigger with an uncapped fire rate. This is the guns real power, especially if you want to use an auto clicker so your finger doesn't fall off.
When I went for the "Get a victory with 70% or higher accuracy with the shotgun" I manually aimed and fired so I could ensure my bullets would connect. Once I got the homing sight late in the run I just kinda kept firing as long as there was clearly something to hit.
you might be able to pick the blue-outline drop pods before the reroll drop pod (I think the blue ones only grant repeatable upgrades, like Gun Butter)
Concerning the money build run. When you kill an enemy that is "in cover", as in in the hedges that you cannot walk through, then the exp and drops get shunted to the closest walkable surface. So, if you wish to do a money run, or the money = exp run, then you should do the bulk of your fighting in the maze. This will shunt the coins to the short paths and your run speed won't matter as much as you wouldn't have to walk far to collect. Side note: concerning drone over leveling you. A few runs back you took the drone off of its exp hovering mode, this means that it isn't collecting the exp for you, thus it will out level you unless you put a containment field on its weapon. Just some food for thought. Thanks for the videos I'm personally having a blast watching.
the drone doesn't take exp for itself. Either it picks it up (and levels you up) or it doesn't pick up any exp from the ground at all. I'm pretty sure it just levels over time at a fixed rate (maybe boosted by its own xp rate, if anything).
@@Jonjon13Jonjon13 The hoover mod from the drone states that it picks up the exp on the ground for the player. The drone itself levels with mob kills, or at least that's what it seems like to me from watcher the wonderbots videos. I could be wrong about the second part, but I know I'm right about the first. Thanks for the comment.
If you level up the resource bonus rate you can get over 100 Malphite branches after killing him once. You can easily get it to 10+ if you build for it early.
the razor grip deals bleed on every reload. if you take the infinite ammo belt and choose a gun with basically no mag size you could be dealing bleed on every shot. with a high enough firerate that would probably drop el fuego quick.
I'm a few videos late on this, but the "wizard" (as I've dubbed it) doesn't spawn enemies, it in itself spawns offscreen by where other enemies spawn and then a few around it get teleported close to/onto the player.
As a tip from personal experience DO NOT try to run the ring blaster with a magazine size of one, It will fail to fire at all. It will fire, but nothing comes out. However this can be nice if you WANT a pure trigger on reload build that scales under barrel and special power with the instant reloads. Rather the best ring blaster combo with instant reloads is getting a huge magazine and bullet count with helix, it's amazing. I'm still trying to get the combo of tier 2 Chevron as early as possible, Split serpents bullet count augment, quad helix, and instant reload with a giant mag and rate of fire.
A really fun run is trying to get as much armor as possible. I was going for the 35(I failed), but with the spiked grip and spiked stock, I turned off autofire, and the final boss killed himself with thorns damage... in seconds. Your base has a range above the biolab area, that you can use to check a guns DPS. You can upgrade the special drop pods, for a fee... and it's totally worth doing. once anyways, the second upgrade is very pricey. You can also build multiple copies of them, for a growing fee. You can check a gun's stats in the pause menu, click on the gun. Did you notice, the lighter blue the XP, the greater it's worth? The many many notes is due to me not posting a comment in any of the other vids, sorry.
Combination sniper and bayonet, bayonet 4th tier has a special at full health for infinite vision increase when you are at full health. Other fun build is pulse rifle with orbital bullets, become a saw
Optical Carbine is a decent weapon due it's high fire rate. Combined with an ammo rack you get yourself a build that melts enemies. With the perfect optimisation it can make a decent credit build. Not going to say how. But it might be something you might enjoy testing out :3
PS: I think focusing a bit more on the special power could scale your levels up higher, since it stacks the XP the coins give. Also putting your drone on xp hunting could help? Just throwing ideas to the wall, haven't gone this route yet myself
Funny thing Wander, when, at 58:35 you called those creatures Eye Beasts, my brain shortened that to iBeasts and I was like... What is apple up to now? LOL!
yea the helix barrel with energy underbarrel, makes it almost always trigger assuming you don't have bonkers firerate. and special power pickups scale if you get them early, since levels ups have a % increase to them. i have had energy under-barrel hit for like 20k a few times on its own. some specials can crit scale too.
Another good way of doing this is going instant reload, get grenade instead of energy blaster.. and a mag size of 1, assuming you don't pick up the instant reload super late, you have a very good chance of getting multiple mag size reduction passives, as they only drop after you pick up instant reload, but with instant reload, and only one mag capacity, you get grenades on every shot, meaning helix also works every shot
I'm not sure the Great Hunter Barrel is worth it in terms of credits gained, that seems a really low amount of credits. I think what you want to be aiming for as fast as possible is maxing out your ammo grip and getting your magazine down to 1 shot, to give you a 33% chance of gaining a credit every single time you shoot with instant reloads
movement speed would be nice with some of these builds but yeah it would come at the cost of the damage. could probably use some sort of forested corner to collect exp and materials cos i think they glide to the edge of that forest if they die in the forest so would have a smaller area to pick up the stuff but yeah. cool series thanks for it

I picked up the game after watching the series and finally played it last night, you make it look much easier than it is!
Wander lost a lot at the start before getting used to it.
He's just so good, I have immediate skill issues

When you talked about the skyrim exploit it made me sad, cuz they "fixed" it in SE.

Gene edit for resource bonus, get 2-3 boss resources per run.
1:08:31 us it possible to do a run with no gun on the drone? It be a bit hard but I guess you will get full advantage of the gun your building?
Just mouse over the effect in description and see what it does or doesn't
