I fear starting any abhijits video little late in night coz once i start i can't stop in between. Mixing humor and satire with strategic information and at the same time clarifying doubts is his unparalleled mastery. When he quotes instances of history i just wonder how much he has read and remembers.

Abhijit Iyer Mitra is a real genius. He is too brash for comfort but a real genius in strategic thinking. If he controls and tempers his talk, but not his ideas he can be a good Deputy National Security Advisor. Why Deputy? Because he needs a more sober chief to restrain him but his analysis is brilliant. Maybe after a few years of age he will sober down and with that he can be a real asset

Honest and clever people have no patience for stupidity, incompetence, or lies. They have every right to be brash towards such people. If you see someone being diplomatic, it means he's incompetent, a coward, or both. Only people who are totally secure about their self worth don't need to seek approval or validation from others. Which is why they appear "brash".

Sir I respect it. True, current Indian media is unable to put forth important news and facts publicly. You may have read Times in the 90's and Times today. Hindustan Times is better than TOI if I may be so bold. Reports are mostly on political toxicity and crimes and less on societal reforms, giving platform for reformists and new ideas and innovation.
Having lived in the U.A.E and reading Gulf News , which till 2010 was pretty darn good with very simple presentations. But truth is after the edition changed, although it hasn't lost it's glamour , it has lost 'that charm' of a news paper.
In Europe where I stay now, of course all languages are alien to us except we can but read Hindustan times online. Still I would say Hindustan Times is better than the others.
Times of India and Gulf News almost were in par with each other. But what I read in Mumbai in the 2000's was 360 degree different from the TOI edition I read in Vellore Tamil Nadu for 4 years. After reading this TOI, I felt a mental dissonance and why I was even reading newspapers at all. I used to get free editions of all Newspapers everyday as per the free education policy of my University. I read them all but with exception of The Economic Times nothing was interesting.

Speaking of possibility, and looking at the options we have, it might be that the water was going underground by some fault-line which is common in young fold-mountains like the Himalayas. The Chinese might have found some fault-line and so they stopped the water there and allowed it to go underground. Some water might have been always going underground there but simply the speed of the torrent ensured that most water escaped it and flowed down-stream and the Chinese simply ensured it doesn't happen.
There are examples of such rivers which suddenly vanish, actually they go subterranean and flow through some underground channel or aqueduct and then reappear at an entirely different place.

@@debayanbasu8964 but non alliance ke vajah se aaj India sabke saath ek acchha relation rakh paaya hai. There is a reason we can access Europe ,america, Israel ,arab and the Chinese all together.Thinknof it this way, even at the time of US Russia cold war ,people would have doubted us the same way.Us not aligning with Russia helped us grow so damn fast in so less time as soon as we opened markets. We literally have access to the entire world economically. We have to think this through long term.

I have had online conversations with many other asians like japanese, south koreans, indonesians etc and they all have one opinion that Indians are oblivious to- they all see India as the true challenger to the Chinese expansionism ideology. They keep high hopes from India but at the same time are frustrated as to why India is not taking a stance against China? What's stopping India from doing so?
And I felt a chill and shiver one time when in a group chat I was surrounded by users of different asian nations and all of them seem willing to accept India as their "big brother" rather than China and they were very adamant about it!
I was like "trust me, I had no idea that the rest of asia thinks about us in this way! I doubt majority of Indians do!"
I was surprised by the south koreans and the japanese especially, knowing that they are far ahead of us in technology and economy but still they reject the Indian idea of partnership and instead seek a leader nation to lead asia to prosperity. and they see India as their future leader.
Why? I don't understand. What is about asian nations that they always feel the need of a leader and not a partner? Can anybody explain this to me?

Ps. I am very heavily influenced by Lucius Fox's ideology from the dark knight. So much power in one hand is terrifying! It could give anybody a messiah complex. But still asian nations want India as their " big brother"! To a common man like me it is terrifying.

Guys if you are posting all this on public forums anyways , please popularise it as widely as you can. None of the contemporary analysts and strategic affairs editors or mainstream news channels is even mentioning this. This will give us a massive public relations leverage as well as boost people's morale like a rocket.

Excellently explained about Galwan, Pangong and Goghra. I agree with practically all that Abhijit says. It has changed my understanding of the tactical situation in those areas. I was particularly happy to hear the Galwan account. This should be plastered around to encourage NATIONAL PRIDE. YES we did cross the LAC ... bloody good and will do it again and again and AGAIN IF REQUIRED.
And INDIA should get PROACTIVE about its strategic and tactical defence. Abhijit puts it very well that the Chinese are a Mercantile lot and this is what fuels their expansionist plans. It is embedded in their DNA . India needs to embed some more Estrogen in our Political & Bureaucratic Babu's. China follows a TAKE and Give Policy ... not a Give and Take. ! Sure they may give some land back ... but only that which is of their choice .
I still smart over why India gave back strategic & tactical and EMOTIONAL Haji Pir and so much other areas ? The only good thing we gave back was their 90,000 POW's. And then we ended up by insulting Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw . Dont our Politicians & Bureaucrats realise that we insulted OURSELVES by doing so !

Sincerely appreciate all the hard work behind all the factual data presented. we should have a honest press who can give out all this.
