If Philly beats them like they did earlier this season it’s a repeat of the giants playoff game. We lose to a team we should beat then that team gets blown out by Philly.
@@TomJohnson-g7ky’all lost to the rams twice this season not just once. So what are you talking about? The rams dominated the first matchup against the Vikings as well. This don’t got nothing to do with Philly
The tunnel vision of throwing all of the blame onto Darnold is reprehensible without throwing blame on the offensive line that could not withstand the pressure Darnold was continuously battling from the stifling Rams’ defense.
Vikes offensive probs: 1) poor scheme with static pocket & and all deep drops 2) O line is less than stout 3) Darnold holds the ball too long - & has since his rookie year with the Jets. Strange because Darnold is athletic with size & can move well. 4- Darnold falls apart mentally when things go a bit "sideways" - his resiliency is very limited. 5- McVay KNOWS O'Connell (his former OC in 2021). Vikes didn't make in-game adjustments the week before against the Lions either. Too bad for Darnold because with his last two games (Lions & Rams) he lost a 4yr - $160m contract. Vikes will pivot to their injured, affordable rookie, McCarthy & affordable veteran, Daniel Jones. The money they would have paid an "otherwise higher performing" Darnold, can now be spent on fortifying their O Line. This implosion by Darnold, in the long run, is a blessing in disguise, as McCarthy is a strong minded winner who is cool under pressure, unlike the easily rattled Darnold who turns into a deer-in-the-headlights or "sees ghosts, out there".
@@donapodaca3729 You say "McCarthy is a strong-minded winner who is cool under pressure," yet he has never played in one NFL game to prove that, let alone a playoff game. You are living a fantasy that has not come to fruition. You expect the Vikings to make a decision based upon a fantasy.
McCarthy led Michigan to a Natl Championship & undefeated season against the best. He is a champion, under pressure - Sam has underperformed, in the biggest games, in the Pros for 6 yrs. I'm a USC fan who was high on Sam coming out of college. Daniel Jones performed well enough with the Giants to secure a big contract & is a more proven Pro than Sam at this point. Sam just missed way too many easy pass attempts these last two games to secure a "franchise qb" contract. Out of his own mouth, when with the Jets, he said he "saw ghosts out there". Unfortunately, he appears to choke on the big stage. I like Sam, but he doesnt deserve a big contract & the Vikes have 2 good alts in-house. They can use the $30-40mil/yr slated for Darnold to beef-up the O Line. @@martinosborne9140

As a Jets fan, i have no faith in Darnold and knew his success wasn't likely to last BUT, his O line deserves a lot of the blame. Sure he held onto the ball a lot longer than he should have at times but that line was getting ran through like the neighborhood hoe.
Vikings fans have been complaining about their interior offensive line for what seems like a decade. Please Kwesi, fix the problem in a big way this offseason. The Vikings have a ton of cap space this offseason. Now is the time.
@@lawrencewellington1959mostly on Darnold - you can NOT repeatedly take nothing but deep drops & hold the ball for 3/4+ secs in todays' NFL, especially against playoff caliber Defenses.
True. But McVay definitely watched what the Packers defense did to the Eagles Sunday. He just followed the blueprint the Lions put out there for Darnold. Now Moore could have been intentional with this (deception), but we will see.
The refs were making bogus calls against the Rams early in the game. The refs were on the Vikings side so the Rams knew they had to whoop em, and blow em out to win.
Ok, Sam looked awful. But Justin Herbert looked worse, Jordan Love looked worse, nobody’s talking about their futures. My Panthers had Darnold and he was pretty damned good for a dreadful franchise. If I was a team with a question at QB, I’d give Sam a shot, as the Vikings probably won’t.
Jordan Love was on trial last season with the team that drafted him & passed the test in his 1st starting year with the youngest team in NFL& mollywhooped the Cowboys hence the payday. He's made playoffs X2 & has 2 winning seasons Darnold is on his 4th team & 1st winning season. He lost his 2 biggest games of his career... It ain't the same.
Once a QB shows ‘happy feet’ and an inability to handle a persistent blitz doesn’t have a long career unless they get some excellent coaching and a strong O-line. This was as much a McConnell failure as Darnold. Their debacle the previous week against the Lions should have previewed how the Rams would approach them
THE PASS RUSH STATS JUST CONFIRMS TO ME WHY SAM AINT IT. SITTING DUCK QBS ONLY WORK NOWADAYS WITH A SUPER TEAM LIKE BRADY ON THE BUCS. DARNOLD LITERALLY IS A SITTING DUCK IN THE POCKET WITH NO ABILITY TO EVADE OR BREAK A SACK PAUSE😂
No matter what the Rams where gunna win. I mean the NFL has been wanting the LA market for a long time. Plus, all the fires it makes a great story. The vikings didn't stand a chance.
Just curious what was wrong with his analysis here? Also he hung around the highest level of football competition for 12 years. What else would you need to see to qualify someone as a credible analyst lol
