I can hear this song over and over. Year after year. It never fails to bring that same ache in my heart. The sting in my eyes, the tears down my cheeks. Rarely does a song come along that can do such things, despite the countless listens it brings me back to the first time I heard it. Not many songs have that power.
You just described exactly everything I feel about this song. It’s been my favorite for over 10 years. It’s a safe space, a breath of fresh air, a warm embrace, a shoulder to cry on and a pillow to scream into
There really is nothing like seeing them live. I have seen them several times, but I will never forget this night they played in western Massachusetts. A wall of sound is the best way to describe it. I think a friend described it as hitting the "everything" button.
I'll take that a raise you an Acoustic Mainline gig, going from 1 extreme to the other & absolute bliss no gig has ever made every hair in my body stand up be covered in goosebumps & almost reduce me to tears, I consider it the Greatest Gig of my Lifetime "Queens Hall Edinburgh 2006" ✌️
I’ve been lucky to see them twice at Primeravera Sound festival in Barcelona, where tears are rolling down your cheeks and you don’t know why... Amazing.
first song ive ever seen with 0 dislikes, Spiritualized helped bring my friends and I closer , Im a Christian, they were non Christian and Zen and we were all weed smokers!
Surprised (and kind of saddened) that no one found this song when I used it in my April Fools’ MUGEN character. Genuinely brilliant tune. Completely forgot what led me to it, but I’m glad it happened however it did. Perfect song for just letting time pass around you.
amazingly beautiful version. trying to find every version possible. has unending meaning to me. it touches some very old part of myself. I LOVE THIS!!!!! THANKS FOR POSTING
I like it - never heard this version before! I am proud to say that over the last 25 years I have seen Spiritualized approximately 25 times - loads here in Dublin, several at Glastonbury, Galway, London, Boston, Chicago twice, San Francisco.....and as long as he keeps playing I will keep going. It appears next year will be the final album? No harm either, considering that apart from some good songs on Amazing Grace, there hasn't been an amazing album since Ladies and Gentlemen We are Floating in Space
Sorry pressed reply before finished, the subject matter a bit grim with his near death experience, I certainly hope it’s not his last lp, way too talented to pack it in!! ✌️
And people dispute the existence of god...... I'm not religious, but their must be a god if he lets us immerse our souls in music and good weed like this, there just has to be.
I'd say more likely the amazingness of the human mind to want to create art. we have to worry about money, work, health, family, the way the world is with war, famine, bigotry etc etx. and yet we take time to create art. for no reason but pleasure for our selves and others. why make it a god something outside of humanity claim the miracle for ourselves don't give it to what we create to stop ourselves being terrified of the utter meaninglessness of existence. this is our glory. Just spaceman's cos he created it and ours cos we've heard it. that's how i see it
I am agreeing with you Ryan Spencer, because I am truly feeling a spiritual awakening when this song shines its light on me. Hallelujuah...to know life and its gifts is to know there's a God. I mean, seriously, what are goosebumps?
Hate to break it to you guys, it’s all those right notes triggering a dopamine response in your brain. One or two notes off the progression and you’re thinking wth. It’s all biological guys :)

Amazing.
Being alone is a beautiful thing! This is proof.
It doesn't get much better than this in life.
I’ve felt this way a few times in my life. Jason has written a few prayers in his work. This is one of them.

I'm not Christian,
I'm Spiritualized !
I have felt God's Presence in this music!
It's a Masterpiece ❤
Listening to this version is like being in an amazing dream
Just one thing to say: thank you for this song! Really.
It made my life you hear this song live. I literally prayed to god that Jason would play this.

Let It Come Down is a better album than LAGWAFIS from this retrospective vantage point, and some great songs on SWSL as well.
Each to their own, my friend.
Cheers! Peace! Amen!
Think all Studio lps since LAGWAFIS have had their fair share of decent tunes, think the last couple have been mellower music wise subject matter

They're amazing live. Hypnotic. You forget to get beer or go piss. Fabulous.
lolol...heeeheeeheeeee,,then they are grrrreat!
Is it OK to comment on a Spiritualized video without having a heroin addiction or weed story?
72 likes & 0 dislikes...obviously only cool people jam this song!
mmmmmhmmmm! TY!
vocal heavy. interesting mix compared to LGM version and live versions where the vocals are washed out or hidden behind effects.
Wrong album, Faux Fan ...
