That was awesome! He was like a rag doll in a washing machine but with facial expressions. The one thing I couldn't help but notice was that Chaz did a ton of short shifting. Going out on cold tyres. There was no way he was driving any more than 8/10ths. Still, that would be so much fun.

I think this is Newcastle track from gears and steering inputs. It’s a little bit of a set joke up for Ponga. He’s not in a custom fitted race seat and doesn’t have a HANS device around his neck. Hence the massive movement. Check out his deep breaths he takes when they pull up. Now remember that these Pro drivers do this for 75+ laps. Full concentration 100% of the time.
@@mainstarservices3129 you probably right about the track. I wonder why the original video titled it as that 😂 that’s what we get for not fact checking. And yeah it seemed like he wasn’t quite locked in like he is supposed to be
I think it maybe the Newcastle 500 track. Considering Kaylan is the fullback and captain of the Newcastle Knights in the NRL would make even more sense.
Ponga plays for The Newcastle Knights. I like seeing a very fit athlete realise how fit these drivers actually are, Ponga's neck muscles are huge and he had zero control over the geforces his body was under. Also these are showing one lap......... imagine how much strain it would be over the duration of a race
ponga plays in the nrl. he also plays for queensland. at his size. what he achieves is remarkable. i would regard him as brave, and if he shits the gear going around bathurst, then he's human.
Don’t have to know how to lip read to figure out what Ponga was saying in the car 😂 Street circuits like this (Newcastle) are probably more a shock because of the closeness of buildings and the barricades narrow the streets, plus you’d normally be doing 20mph not 120…

Guys the only decent player we have at the Knights and you want to give him to the Roosters - give us a break . The Roosters have bought everyone else they may as well have him too I guess.
Yeah.. check the pinned comment lol. My bad. What is worse is I actually have a Ponga players card and still messed up. I don't know where my head was at when we recorded this.

@RealFansSports just a bit early, he will be a Rooster in 26
Check out Greg Murphy pranking Cameron Smith the Rugby player. I've never seen anyone react to it. It's bloody hilarious too, gets him a ripper.
murphys a D1CK!
I have no idea who Ponga are but that is one brave man! Did not expect so much smiling and laughing.
Felt bad for his neck.
Fatty Vaugh! One of NRLs legends. I briefly saw the thumbnail at the end of this video. So worth the watch!

Great reactions again lads, but this was at the Newcastle street circuit, not Bathurst.
agree, I was so confused as to the corner sequence and time under WOT, it couldn't be Mt Pano.

We called it celebrity racing
It's where a certain car company would convert their road cars to racing saftey standards
Like roll cages fire systems ect but cars other then that come straight off show room floor
The celebrity's celected got a week's training in car around race track
Then on race day they'd be high light race in between other race's
It's quite entertaining as you get a mix of driver some become very competitive as in their nature
Then you had other that trying to preserve their health
Normally the athletes where more aggressive then entertainer's
They did this for several years but near the end more crashes and became exspensive for car companies
As after race they got sold off and use in lower grade of races or their own class of racing
So it made it affordable racing for up and coming drivers as when purchasing vehicles they came with a certain ammount of factory maintenance and where trucked to the tracks all you had to do was pay the bills rock up at track and go racing the manufacturer did everything else
They used to see a boost in sale in show rooms of that particular vechiles being race
So look up celebrity's racing in Australia 🇦🇺
Chaz takes no prisoners, for those who haven't seen it checkout his 2015 crash at Bathurst. I sent the link but RUclips blocked it.
If you have a discord you can send it on our server! The link is in the description of the video
Yeah you can see the exact moment his femur breaks. Pretty horrific.
Oh yes yes do more😂

You need to do a lap of Bathurst race track. 2+ minutes of terror for anyone not used to a racing car.
Did 3 laps of Chicagoland Speedway with the Richard Petty Experience in a 2015 nascar…
He looks just like a Thunderbird.
Ponga has had head knock issues for years in footy maybe this was a diagnostic exercise
lol! Interesting way to diagnose that 😂

They were probably only pushing at about 80%. The race is also 16 laps over about 6 hours.

Oh yeah we know! We have watched it the last 2 years! Crazy how tame this past race was with what only one safety flag right? or was it zero.
lol, yes the fat fingers struck again. 161 laps 😜
Hi guys nice vlog ,do they do this in nascar ?
You know what I am not sure.. I will have to look!

Uncle Nik always gets his man
It's a bit harder for rider their feeling more g forces as the way the seat is positioned and obviously not the muscle required to handle these forces
If you look at driver you see he's in a semie reclined position So the seat belts work better against g forces beside having steering wheel and designed foot area's for driver to push against
As a motor bike rider who don't ride all the time it takes days of riding to get the strenght in your neck to handle the wieght of helmet and the wind resistance on a bike as well same for strenght on clutch and brakes due to g forces
So yes it funny to watch them but are at a big disadvantage to be able to remain still and face images are them fighting the g forces best they can more then scared
It's like when you go to a theme pk and get on roller-coaster you not done for a year and how hard you get thrown around in them it can be quite painful
By the way Aussie driver will never take it easy they enjoy trying to scare the passengers and will always go out their way to
But will not push to the limits of the vechiles for safety reasons
But definitely give you a thrill like a roller-coaster 😊
They done g forces checks and up there with fighter jets obviously the jet goes on next level when required
Some race's actually has a g force reading during race get to 3 or 4 g's and why when accidents it goes up
Drivers have help harness devices to help support neck plus wrap round seat for head as you'll see in clip then all the cable would help but mainly their muscles in neck are use to it
Have a look at any drivers knock then a normal person and you'll notice the difference immediately
