onya mate, but that "god" bullshit, that crap doesn't fly here. Thanks for the intention but. I feel sorry for the more sensible seppos having to duck for cover every time you pop out to the servo for a pack of gaspers. I hope you guys can sort your shit out coz everyone's shooting all your dirt magnets. Stay safe digger.
To this day the Aussie humour is still there...at the end of every tunnel there is always something to laugh about the journey to get there.... Aussies don't dwell on the horrors they're always laughing about the funny bits
Love the old footage. Does anyone know what year/decade those beach scenes are from? Also, how did groups of young people back in those days contact each other to arrange meet ups without telephones?
This country was grand back then, and she's even more grand today...I don't understand why anybody would see anything negative in our country. There are undoubtedly issues that need correcting, but nothing I can see is negatively impactibg this great country beyond our control.
If by "true Australian" you mean anyone who calls themselves nothing else other than an Aussie and anyone who adheres to the value of mate ship, then I agree with you mate. However if you mean only Anglo people and people of pure Anglo blood then I must disagree with that mate.
@@hinducroat9838 Not necessarily pure Anglo, but white European, with a dominant Anglo-Celtic majority. If you disagree with me, you also disagree with every government until that of Gough Whitlam, and the greatest of Australians such as Ned Kelly, Edmund Barton, Billy Hughes, John Curtin, and many more. The truth is that Australia was founded on much more than simply ‘mateship’. The country was created to deliberately espouse pride in ethnicity and heritage, and thus, enjoying this shared history and heritage by blood and ancestry is a necessity if one is to be truly Australian.
I know a very dear man, now 94(born 1928) who talks just like this, minus the slang. It is a rarity where we live in the South-East suburbs of Melbourne now, but I recall hearing folks with similar voices from childhood, 25+ years ago, who were elderly, but they were from more agricultural areas; talking with their teeth clenched to prevent flies from getting in. It is also worth acknowledging, that is a comedy duo, presumably from the Great Depression Era, performing a radio skit featuring a young man imitating an old man. Thus, faux colonial parlance of a man born in 1870 or earlier.
I did a presentation in high school on Australia's role in WWI. I used this song for it. Good memories
God bless Australia!!!
Sending you love from America... ❤️

Don’t worry to much about that reply from lazyishardwork. He sounds like he is what we call a wanker or a tosser. Thanks for the love. 👍

I am sure he would also be appalled at your inability to write even the most basic English, Bruce Jackson.
@Grandslam Gaz What a way to trivialise what the Nazis did by likening a grammar correction to murderers. Well done you.
@Grandslam Gaz Missing the point you are, I'm not surprised though.
@Grandslam Gaz IDIOT.
I’ll do anything to revive the nation that’s been robbed of me (and the rest of us true Australians).

Why does the accent sound like a mix of nz and English accent
Because that’s the Aussie acsent mate
its called cultivated Australian
Because we're the ANZACS
The Australian New Zealand Army Corps
Cause 90% of Australians were of full English descent at the time ( ca 1920)
