Poor Mr. Herring must've been so confused at the end... years ago my husband was driving behind an elderly man whose car was swerving a little and my hisband followed him and got him to stop and asked if he was alright, called his family and learned he was diabetic and got him some orange juice. That's the human reaction. "You okay, Pops?"

Similar situation, A car the that was driving on the side of my papa noticed something was off about him, she continued to watch his keeping the speed until she noticed his face started to change, she called highway patrol to have them send help, she noticed my papa was out of it. Luckily there was a guard rail on his right side she used her car as a shield to slowly push my papa over to the car she put her car in front of his and parked when the car came to a stop she rushed to turn the car off took the keys, she saved my papa that day and potentially other pedestrians, he was having a stroke.

That defense attorney is insufferable. I love both attorney's for the state. Nobody had to encourage the defendent to do what she did. She was he77 bent on playing cop, using her weapon to intimidate someone, anyone, and lost her mind when Mr Herring wouldn't comply and ended up hitting her precious truck. She is not a good person. A good person would have helped Mr Herring not take his life. She has absolutely no remourse sitting there all smug. She is a danger to society. Lock her up.

Anyone who has worked in the judicial system knows the difference between a public defender, appointed counsel, and retained counsel is the size of their caseloads, access to expensive experts, and trial experience. Public defenders are not somehow lesser than. In fact, public defenders are some of the most zealous and skilled advocates because they have extensive knowledge and the most trial experience from the amount of time spent in the courtroom.
People love to use it as a way to insult a bad lawyer but it comes across as ignorant if you have ever worked with all 3.

The witness, a friend of the defendant, said something different to a question asked previously. (Real answer was not good for the defense) She gave the witness the transcript of that hearing to “refresh his recollection”. He read it & said the transcript shows he said it, but he doesn’t remember saying it. Defense then argued that statement/question/info was NOT ALLOWED to be said in front of the jury because, despite having the transcript, his MEMORY was NOT refresh… it was simply reading off a paper. 🤷‍♀️Very interesting move from the defense..🤓
