The problem with Punjabi rap, it's always about gangsterism, pride and caste (Jatt). Rap might have started in the slums but it has advanced and evolved into so many positive genre, but many of our Punjabi rappers are still stuck in the reverse gear. Sadly, their songs really affect our youth's culture.
I’ve always wondered why these songs portray them as bad guys with big guns and lots of money and everything revolves around them and always having beef with someone for some reason and always boast of caste (there’s not a lot to boast about caste really). Is this what regular people of Punjab enjoy?
