see if you can find a Ns160 of a friend or through showroom for test purpose and compare the fit and finish of N160 vs NS160.. It would be a great video idea i feel... I personally checked the quality of both N160 and Ns160 to see if bajaj made any improvement in the quality of NS160 as I own one which is manufactured in 2017, sadly the quality is not that good but N160 feels well built and more polished...

You are right ! The tooling and the way NS/RS is put together has never changed since its introduction and we can still feel the QA/QC is not upto 2024 standards. Whereas the latest Pulsar's have come a long way in terms of being built well. The sturdiness, touch and feel of general components like the tank, switch gear, headlight/speedometer mounts, fasteners, seat/side door locks almost all such things are improved.

Oil strainer is basically diagnosis/prognosis for your engine when you pull it out during maintenance and check if there are metal particles or anything foreign in huge chunks it indicates if the wear in the engine is accelerated or if some part is damaged, old royal Enfields used to be clogged with metal shavings because the one way clutch bearing(starter motor) would slip and break and the balls and races would grind into powder and stick in the strainer or else it would mix in the oil and damaging the engine even harder. Some bikes skil the oil strainer and use a magnetic drain bolt

Bro, if you look in pulsar owner's manual(220f,n250,f250,ns200 and rs200) then you will find that bajaj has clearly said that you can use 20w50 and 10w50 both.
And bcz bajaj is allowing you to use both grades then you can also use: 20w60,15w50 & 10w60.
And in motorex you don't have any option of fully synthetic 20w50 oil. If you want to use motorex fully synthetic oil then you only have: 10w50,10w60 and 20w60.

How is it possible that a 3500k.m on odo a new N160's clutch plate got finished just after the 2nd service? The Bass is also missing not getting that N160 thump also. I'm a proud owner of bajaj Bs3 16 years old motor which brought me back to Get another Bajaj again....never faced something like this. The clutch cable of N160 is too short hence replaced it with BS3 cables. There is no extra cable tension, they used 20w40 which I came back and replaced with shell 15w50 as Bajaj oil is the worst night mare that you can have. Any idea regarding the same? Its a 2023 model .... I drove the vehicle max within 40kmph, in city I manage to get milage 50kmpl, which actually represents i am not a bad rider...20 years I'm motorcycling.

    • @mustafadudhwala7278
      @mustafadudhwala7278 6 месяцев назад

@@RajKishore-pc6gf oils are pretty subjective, just like everything else, vibrations may be affected due to synthetic and the oil change interval will be slightly delayed because it won't get as thin. Cooling won't be noticeable the n250 doesn't heat up as is, the 5% fuel savings ultimately makes it up when you change the oil because synthetics are more expensive. My advice would be to anyone who is not looking to experiment with their near 2 lac rupee bike which is the only bike they have(90% Indian population), stick to stock oil. Bajaj does a good balance between price and change interval which is at 10000 km. Castrol is good and also economical(beware of fakes) but i wouldn't risk any experiments especially since any oil outside of service centers immediately gives your service center/insurance company a reason to point out when there is a failt even if completely unrelated to the oil.

@@DsThakur-dx4kf They had changed the the oil recommendation to 20w50 in last year itself. Whereas updated N160 with no oil cooler and single spark plug was only launched very recently.
They stopped 10w40 grade to aid better inventory keeping for service centers. Only N150 & N160 required 10w40, while rest N250, P220, P150, Avenger all used 20w50. Now ASC's have to stock only 3 oil grades - 20w50 (for Pulsar/Avenger), 10w30 (For CT/Platina) and 10w50 full synthetic (For Dominar).

Yeh zaroori nahi ki Motul best hai.
For example Motul Scooter LE 10w30 ka flash point sirf 206 hai aur yeh mere Jupiter me 2000-2500 km se zyada nahi chal paata hai. Wahi HP Racer Skutex ka flash point 230 hai, aur yeh mere Jupiter me 3500-4000 km tak chal jaata hai.
Wahi HP ne ek new oil nikaala hai HP Racer Synth Gen 6 10w50 (Lekin mai phir bhi isko recommend nahi karunga, kyuki abhi ke bikes ke oil pump is engine oil ko support nahi karte). Yeh Group IV & Group V se designed hai. Wahi Motul 7100 10w50 Group III & Group V se designed hai.
Mai bhi HP ko bekaar maanta tha, lekin last 1-2 saalo me HP ne kaafi improvement kar liya hai.
Motul ke 5100 & 7100 one of the best oils hai.

    Hi Brother!
Finally, I was able to modify the oil pump of my platina to pump more oil (1.46 to 1.48 times than the original).
As I already said, any oil pump can support oil with some Viscosity Index. Now, one can use oil having lower Viscosity Index than current (Using oil of Higher Viscosity Index than that supported by oil pump may not give adequate performance).
Platina / CT & Pulsar 125 oil pump can support oils of max Viscosity Index of 110.
But now my Platina 110 supports engine oil of Viscosity Index upto 181, which covers almost all the fully synthetic oils.
Right now, I am testing Shell Adavnce AX7 10w30 with Viscosity Index 156.
And below are the other engine oils in the queue:
    Motul 5100 10w30/10w40 VI 150/155
    Motul 7100 10w30/10w40 VI 150/155
    Motul 300v 5w30 VI 171
    TVS Tru4 Synthetic 10w30 VI 137-140

Liquimoly Street Race 10w40/5w40 VI 160/170
Please let me know if you want to add some oil from your side.

Right now, the engine has zero background noise and became smooth (Only Main firing sound) (Better than new Platina)
I can open more throttle with confidence.
Gear Shifts are also improved even at stop & go traffic.
But still I can't aggressively ride it like a Pulsar (avoiding as engine rebuild was done 9000 kms ago), but yes, better performance than other Platina/CT.
You can check the video of engine sound:
      ruclips.net/video/cMpUUs5eIUk/видео.html
[I was blaming Bajaj for not using latest oil pump design and high VI engine oil for Platina/CT, but I stopped blaming and destroyed the problem!]
Yes, correct, I should try Advance Ultra 10w40.
Currently, I am monitoring if this is overcooling the engine, if yes, then I may need to use 5/10w40 grade or mixture of 5/10w30 + 5/10w40.
Reason: If oil flow is 1.4-1.5 times than normal, then heat extraction from engine will also increase to same extent, which may reduce the compression and hence will require thicker oil to maintain the compression.
More analysis remaining from my side, will updated when completed.

    • @sujaybiswas783
      @sujaybiswas783 4 месяца назад

      Hi,
      I have more updates:
During cold start, when I use kick, it becomes very hard (offcourse due to high oil pressure).
But after 30 seconds has passed, the engine feels lighter. (Original warm up time was minimum 60 seconds)
I felt more heat into my toes and this was expected due to more heat extraction.
Oil pressure was still more than enough.
But I felt that the oil is slightly thinned out but still performing well (when I checked the packed date, it was 2018). I am not sure that if this is the reason for thinning out.
There may be another reason for thinning out that oil is now under 1.4-1.5 times stress than earlier.
Please share your views regarding this.

      Hi,
This oil pump has literally surprised me by pulling a 10w50 grade oil.
As I told the Advance AX7 10w30 became thin, hence I had to top up with Motul 7100 10w40. But unfortunately, 10w40 was unavailable, instead, I went with 7100 10w50.
      I added 100 ml of 7100 10w50.
I thought that engine will feel extreame heavy, but surprisingly, it felt normal. (If same 7100 10w50 is put into normal Platina, then it will definitely create some problem).
After 30 kms, the oil is completely mixed, now the engine is exactly giving performance like Motul 5100.
Earlier the colour was yellowish white, but now it turned pink 😊
