First time i met one of the VERY rare streetlegal GT4 Clubsport Racecars - Was FUN watching the loose rear end and the WILD driving style 👍🏻 When overtaking two cars it ends airborned in the grass 🙈 Hope the car is not so much damaged.

Das erste Mal, dass ich einem der SEHR seltenen GT4 Clubsport Rennwagen mit Straßenzugelassung begegnet bin - Hat mega Spaß gemacht das lose Heck und den WILDEN Fahrstil zu beobachten 👍🏻 Beim Überholen von zwei Autos endet es leider in der Luft und im Gras 🙈 Hoffe das Auto ist nicht zu sehr kaputt.

That was beyond to close for comfort. Although at first it looked like the golf driver caused the incident but looking at the footage again he’s actually reacting to the rental Clio moving over and braking right in front of him.
yes, its not 100% fault .. the Golf moved over way to quickly without checking .. but the GT4 was maybe a bit too optimistic too ..
@@xthilox I think a lot of overambitious drivers confuse touristenfahrten with trackdays nowadays, so many crashs could be easily avoided by being more careful when overtaking and expecting mistakes from other drivers, at least that's how i feel. What do you think?
@@wheeliesforthefeelies3995 well .. overambitious drivers who can drive are not the real problem. Most crashes happen cause people don’t have respect and knowledge and driving skills .. but think watching many videos make them a good driver 🤷🏽♂️ never will understand how you can come to the ring and crash in their first lap 🤷🏽♂️🤷🏽♂️
@@xthiloxperhaps the better way would be - after having watched numerous videos - taking a ring taxi first, then a couple of "live drives" with an instructor.

Do close calls like this one statistically happen more often with "de Hollanders"? What is your impression?

Mine is the 981 Spyder just because i prefer roof down motoring experience. Currently have a 987 3.4BS and it is a fun summer car although not very fast.

Hey Stefan, yes it's original exhaust! When driving the Nordschleife pretty frequently it gets louder ;-)) and Valves are open.

Question for Thilo: folowing the Nordschleife rules, is the Golf liable for any damage caused by the undesired track exit?
normally its like on a normal road .. same rules. thats why for example only overtaking on the left is allowed. when you have a crash, or when you loose coolant etc. you are responsible for the damage of other cars. But when you crash with another car its mostly not easy to judge who is 100% responsible .. often it goes to court.
@@xthiloxinsurance will pull their hands from it if it happened on a circuit. 🙈
@@NoFix during touristenfahrten the Nordschleife is „no racetrack“…many German insurance companies will pay … but more and more are changing the policies
@@xthilox this case would be in the grey area, as there was no contact between the cars. Maybe your footage would undoubtedly blame the Golf.
I didn't see the Golf indicate right, to acknowledge the cars behind him. He's closed the gap on the Clio, so you have to prepare for the fact that he's going for the overtake, which he did.
I'd like to think that the golf is primarily to blame for the situation, for not looking in the mirrors properly, but man, you can't just sting into a gap like this on touristenfahrten...

How does the clubsport have number plates? Can race cars be made road legal in Germany?
I have no idea 🤷🏽♂️ 😅😅 normally it’s not possible as many parts have no numbers on it to make a car streeetlegal .. but I have seen 2-3 of those clibsports at the ring
Oooh took a nasty hit on the underside, it was either that or have a nasty crash I suppose.
here in the UK those drive VW Polo or Golf always think they are the fastest on the road and will pull out in front of you, tailgate you and cut you off etc. many of them get bad reputation and a lot of them are driven by teenagers. hope not major damage caused to the GT4.

Watched that a few times, majority of the blame is on the Golf. Red car was already in an overtaking position, so Golf needed to check before passing the Clio.
Yes he moved over very quick out of nowhere … but it was also a bit optimistic to overtake there 🫣
"Wilder Fahrstil" ist aber geschmeichelt. Die Linienwahl war ja teilweise gruselig.

That NL plate 😑 Always a cold chill down the spine when I see NL, B or L plates, they just don't know how to drive and have a total lack of, awarness of their surroundings, the traffic rules, how to share public roads... slow and dangerous 😖😖😖

@ArjanSchepers Wrong, 69-KSH-6 is not A UK plate format and it's a left hand drive car, a closer inspection will show it looks like NL country marker at the beginning of the registration

it also was a bit optimistic to try to overtake there .. but yes .. the Golf moved pretty "spontanic"
