I love your videos! There is just one problem - there aren't enough of them! You do such beautiful work - way beyond myself, but, I love to watch and listen to you. I will check out your blog, etc. Thank you!
TFS Patsy. I really wanna buy a ruler foot and rulers for my Juki HZL F600 machine. I believe it’s a low shank. Do you know if there’s a foot for my machine? Thanks again.
When I google your machine, it says it's a low shank. I'm going to email the manufacturer of the Clarity foot to verify that the low shank Clarity foot really does fit your machine and I'll write you back once I know it will work for sure.
I have a Janome 8900 & your high shank ruler foot . as well as a Babylock Ellissimo with a Westalee low shank ruler foot- do I need 2 different templates? What templates are applicable for each - thanks!
Hi Carol, yes you should use high shank rulers/templates for the high shank ruler foot and low shank for the low shank. That will allow you to maneuver the templates on each machine completely around the entire circumference of the ruler foot which is important with these type of complex templates. In general, you can use high shank templates with a low shank ruler foot, but you would not have enough room to place the template behind the ruler foot. Never use a low shank template with a high shank ruler foot. It's not safe. All that being said, we do not currently carry the high shank, 1/4 in thick flower templates at this time, and we are running low on the 3mm low shank templates. Our manufacturer has had some production problems so we are looking into alternates, but that will likely be months from now.
Patsy Thompson Patsy! Don't assign a moral value to air conditioning. You're just punishing yourself. Pamper yourself like you do your quilts! You deserve it.
Sure, they will work fine on your Janome 6600. You just want to know what shank size your ruler foot is so that you use the correct thickness of ruler/template. The templates come in the thin 3mm thickness or the traditional 1/4 in thickness.
Hi Carrie...No problem. Each Flower template has a small hole in the dead center for the pin to go through. You insert your pin from the back side of the quilt top through its dead center. Then place the template atop the pin so the pin passes through the hole in the template's center. Then hold everything in place with a foam pin anchor or something similar. Hope that helps, and you may want to re-watch the video starting around the 1:30 min mark that shows the process in more detail. Hope that helps!.
You can find them at this url: www.patsythompsondesigns.com/shop/Ruler-WorkTemplates--Supplies/p/Machine-Quilting-Flower-Templates-by-Patsy-Thompson-x24376117.htm Currently, only the 1/4 inch thick/9/16th inch ruler foot and 3 mm thickness is available. We don't know when/if the 1/4 inch thick/1/2 inch ruler foot ones will be available again
This demo was done using a Babylock Destiny sewing machine and it has a maximum stitching speed of 1050 stitches/minute. I don't know anything about the fs 101.
This is a combination sewing machine/embroidery machine. In the demo on the video, I was using it in sewing mode using the straight stitch. You can find out all about how many stitches are included with a Babylock Destiny by googling it. I have never used any of the built-in stitches other than the straight stitch, so I have no idea how many stitches are included.
Your designs are beautiful but for the life of me I can not see how that could possibly work on a queen size quilt, or how it would look between the blocks of a quilt. You would not want to put that on top of a pieced block. I do not do solid color quilts, or quilt blocks then piece them. Maybe I'm missing something here but I just don't understand how it would work better than FMQ. Janet

Inspiring! I'm incredibly bad at quilting but this inspires me to try it again... Thank you for sharing!
Wow! Patsy, you know how to make a video! Thank you.
I LOVE your videos! Your quilts are gorgeous and I love watching you create them. What inspires you with these designs?
Thanks very much! I don't have a great answer, I guess I'm inspired by all the designs I encounter everyday!
It's beautiful Patsy. Can I use them on my Coronet LongArm? I love what you did with the embellished parts. You are so creative.
Thank you so much, Fran! If you are using a long arm, you can use the 1/4 in thick flower templates.
Hi Were do I purses the flower templets and do you ship to Sweden?

I checked with the manufacturer and she confirmed that your machine requires the low shank Clarity foot.
Oh my goodness. That’s amazing.

Thanks for your great videos. Just curious - why don't you want the aircon on?
Normally, it is very cold and snowing in the middle of March, so it somehow seems "wrong" to have air conditioning on in the middle of winter!
OK got it. Similar problems in Scotland - LOL.

Yes, you would want the 3mm thick flower template set to go with your machine/foot setup.

Looking to purchase the flower templates but when I try to access your on line store I get Page not found? Where can I purchase them?
