Nothing quite like walking around disney while drenched. I thought about leaving early, but I figured they wouldn't be giving refunds and since I'm not local, no real opportunity to return this year for alternate party day.
Still, I'd love a do-over.
And now I'm here on vacation in a hurricane. So I'll be doing battle with the weather for the next few days in the parks (if they open tomorrow)

I was at the same party and we were soaked as well. We stayed for the parade and fireworks and left because it was cold and soaked. We did ended up getting the 2nd party and it was amazing

Hey Emily. Sorry to hear your very first night got rained on. I love your dress regardless of it getting wet. I love green the most and it looks so cute on you. Funny story: my first ever time going to MVMCP was the very first night of the event in 2019. I went with my mom, sister, and eldest niece Maddie and sadly, we got some rain too. However, it didn’t stop us from having the best first time. We went on rides, went to eat at Cinderella’s Royal Table in the castle, and got our hot chocolate and cookie. Glad you had fun at least. The bloopers: 🤣🤣🤣 One last thing: hope you stay safe from Tropical Storm Nicole. I’m praying you’re all ok.

I take days like that as a reminder to keep an umbrella and jacket in my car and check the weather beforehand because trust me I've truly suffered from making silly mistakes like these and in the meantime wished for someone to be there to say, "everything is gonna be alright" 🥲
