This is all secretly Boo's master plan to replicate Angel and Redgar's igl inting style whilst also not dying every round and instead playing the game, by way of Miniboo - the sacrificial lamb. By gifting his younger brother's life to the enemy, Boo successfully goads the enemy team and lulls them into a false sense of security, allowing him to download the enemy team's strategy into his database and secure the round in flawless fashion. THIS is why miniboo alone is essencial to this team, as no other duelist could be coerced into accepting such a grave responsibility. Love what RieNs said, duelists are supposed to take space and be traded - not everyone is an aspas-type player, MiniBoo really captures the spirit of duelist.
Aspas often actually plays the trader. He also has a very lurk heavy playstyle. So it makes sense why he can have such high kills and low deaths in a lot of his games.
this obviously means that edg will win champs from winners bracket against either lev or sen because they are the only team who wouldn't have had to overcome heretics

I think people need to remember that we are comparing a team of rookies to experienced players. TH aren't going to know everything and of course a newer team might expect the game to be understood to a fine grain and expect people to play how they're "expected" to. This is their first year playing as a team and they've made it to Champs and masters shanghai finals which for a rookie team is absolutely insane! The only reason people are talking like this IMO is because they have performed so well as a team. If they had never really made a name for themselves people wouldn't be talking about this anywhere near as much, give miniboo a chance to learn the pro scene properly and take the experience that he's learned from this year into the next and just see how much better he will perform.
Sure I guess but the ending message of this video isn’t really about miniboo’s individual performance, it’s about how different teams have opposing takes on how they play the game. Rookies or not, TH play a very different game to a lot of other top teams at champs and have done so fairly successfully all year
I almost feel like that heretics are playing chess almost. Lot of the time they sacrifice a piece to get advantageous situation and even if it doesnt seem that great, they are so great at post plants even if they are in unfavorable position for other teams it's advatage for them. And honestly the reason for this is that boo's and woot's calling is so great. Also I feel like most of the time the team that plays against them missplay lots of the situation.
Great analysis.. I wonder if TH will switch up their playstyle now in order to catch the other teams off guard I honestly don't think a lot of duellists would be able to just deal with being a human drone and fully trusting your team to convert your (very likely) first death into an advantageous situation, specially at such a high level of play.
I'll tell the idiots who want a woot duelist. Woot joined the Heretics as a flex player, and he has already said he doesn't want to be a duelist several times. He's under pressure for the duelist role and actually played jett twice in the stage 2 and it didn't work. Both lost. And, Miniboo is the best duelist for heretics. The reason is that Heretics' playing style likes games based on quick site preoccupation and information superiority using duelists. And, Miniboo actually had a good stat up to Stage 1. That's because Heretics at the time invested their skills in Miniboo and let him carry. However, they changed their game style to use the miniboo more cleverly like drones. To sum up, each team has a different playing style. Team Aspas, for example, invests all their skills in Aspas and plays the game in a way that protects him. So, Aspas almost all of his team members die, he survives to the end and he has to. The reason his stat is so good is because he gets all the skills invested and he has to carry. So, Every each teams have different strategies. So can't simply evaluate a player by K/D/A.
Yeah. Although I love woot as duelist but if they are winning right now, why change it. If sacking miniboo is making them win, and if they like that more, why change it.
@@paulandersbullecer3152I also like the heretics and I like their way of doing game. And, woot prefers the flex role and he can play chills with no pressure. 53:29 I wonder how Heretics will adapt to this during the Sentinels game. One of Sentinels biggest strenghts in my opinion is the way they disrupt retakes by putting players like zekken in close angles where he can disrupt things like the spacing with his nade or just straight up slow them down with kills, pressure and just fighting over the space in general, which is basically the same way they lost to leviatan. Will be nice to see Heretics find a way to deal with that.
This team next year is gonna be dominant. Edited to say that if TH keep these players around for a couple years they are going to be a Fnatic level threat going forward
I think aspas is the antithesis in playstyle with Miniboo. Leviatain's strategy is purely setting up aspas for kills while TH seem to do it the other way around.
The human drone only really works in current meta where were not playing many get in, get out agents. Barely any Reyna or chamber and much less Jett than ever before, so that initial trade is so much easier. This heretics style would have gotten RUINED in prime chamber era, because it's a "true" first kill.
Super well done video. Using several stats to compare people in the same or similar roles at the same or similar stage of the tournament. Then, no bias or hate, just explaining how MiniBoo and Heretics have acquire these stats throughout their journey. Even with Heretics in top 4 of Champs I personally wouldn't consider MiniBoo a top 5 duelist. I would go so far to say he might not even be a top 10 duelist. He is a young rookie and I'm sure given experience he can definitely achieve it. There's no doubt about that. In my eyes, even a majority of the teams that have been knocked OUT of champs have better individual duelists (GenG, PRX has TWO, Fnatic, DRX, Kru). Certainly you don't NEED to be the greatest aimer but these teams and those currently top 4 Champs all have a duelist that will simply win a round by themselves. They're provided opportunities to entry and take a fight with an advantage. Even if the initial fight doesn't workout, because things just kinda happen like that, they are also traded as opposed to being a raw sacrifice. It's a big difference and a difference maker. When Aspas, Zekken or Kangkang are doing these dry peeks and human droning, they are clearing people. It's actually insane some of the shots they are pulling off. On the off chance they lose the opening duel, they usually have immediate support behind them to trade. Add in the fact that their teams are actively setting them up for success in the opening duel and you have fully developed superstars. The 4v5 magic is certainly impressive but I don't believe you can count on something like that reliably. Logically, if two teams are even and one is a man down then the 5 man should win. Obviously people aren't perfect and there are dozens if not hundreds of factors that are being applied throughout the round/matches but there is a level of prep/readiness you can have to ensure a higher winrate under these circumstances. Luck is just chance with preparation. You CAN make your own luck. Hopefully this video doesn't jinx Sentinels. 😥

I would love to see a comparison between the play style of TH at Shanghai when they had Woot on Duelist vs. now Champs with Miniboo. Is it the same style or not? I might have missed that point in the video.
No, then other team members invested skills in woot and played games for him. This is the same as their game strategy to Madrid when there was a miniboo. realistically doesn't rly matter if they kick miniboo out that doesn't mean they'll be better cause woot might not want to play duelist so they roles issues make it to where it doesn't matter
I think TH only looked better when they were able to play non Neon meta maps well, which they are now. MiniBoo was just in a slump but it was hard to tell if he just started off hot because he doesnt have a lot of experience at the highest level
Is it ever worth looking at how teams play 4v5s and how they use entry players in other tactical shooters to influence how teams in valo could play these types of situations? Or are the games too different at the top level?
But this such play style could be troublesome for TH with their coming up match with SEN. With SEN barely plays site anchor and heavy retake play style.
idk i feel nothing wrong with miniboo playin like this, id rather have this kinda duelist on my team and trade him. At first I kinda thought this was yapping, and the idea came to me during the drx icebox game but basically, heretics are actually just diffing people if they don’t make ‘mistakes.’ The issue being, they put themselves in unfavourable situations too regularly. Wo0t, riens, benjy and boo have all been crushing it overall, miniboo has been very off form, at least stats wise, minus the last 2 games in champs since shanghai. When 3/5 of your team realistically you expect to win every gunfight, it’s a good look. If they tighten up, champs is looking free. They lost to leviatan primarily cos woot had a bad game, riens also wasnt up to his recent form, lets not pretend like they didn’t have 2/3 map points against Lev’s icebox, which has basically been considered a free map for them. I’d even make the argument, sacrificing a player to make the other team rush in quicker is the easiest way to have them fall for the trap. One thing I do think you missed: trading a duelist for a non duelist is always advantageous due to the util difference. An idea from chess: the super gms, can pretty much always force a draw, if we take the bomb as an extra player (as is commonly done) playing out a 5v4+ bomb into a draw, is a win - it’s definitely more favourable.

Thanks for the effort you put into making this on your day off. Your passion for the game is a beautiful thing to see
I think TH only looked better when they were able to play non Neon meta maps well, which they are now. MiniBoo was just in a slump but it was hard to tell if he just started off hot because he doesnt have a lot of experience at the highest level
An hour of Sideshow analysis, I'm sat
Good video mustache man
This type of content is what I live for
Wanted to leave a comment because this analysis is actually insanely well made.
Nah I feel like Eggman tryna jinx us and have Zekken being hard-diffed by Miniboo in during the match T.T
I love this team. They are a team and TH should win by playing like TH. I am looking forward to them improving even more in the future.❤❤
Honestly this both a crazy and amazing piece of game theory.
The main reason im cheering for heritics tbh
miniboo the biblically accurate duelist
Sideshow buff coming in for mini boo tyty
Nice analysis eggy
Is it ever worth looking at how teams play 4v5s and how they use entry players in other tactical shooters to influence how teams in valo could play these types of situations? Or are the games too different at the top level?
this is the content i didnt know we had in valorant but im glad i found it
damn, thanks mr. egg, i love those analisis videos
glizzy goblin my goat
woot at shanghai had an incredible first kill to first death btw
if sideshow oils up, he might like miniboo
I agreed the whole way through... and then you had to add that last sentence to the video, didn't you...
It just feels like he entries without clearing angles and isn’t in a tradable position
Someone needs to show this to miniBoo
But this such play style could be troublesome for TH with their coming up match with SEN. With SEN barely plays site anchor and heavy retake play style.
Hey Sideshow, did you consider releasing this after finals? Maybe you pointed out some stuff not even Kaplan has found. Lol
Future winners of champs 2024? I like how bro tried to sneak that in at the end 😂
idk i feel nothing wrong with miniboo playin like this, id rather have this kinda duelist on my team and trade him. I did not watch entire video yet, but its still that miniboo from madrid where everyone was hyping him up but average people nowadays just watch stats not understanding the game, im not saying I understand what they doin but when they win and reach top 4, so whats the problem? dont understand the criticism towards him from people. Could they have better duelist? yes mb, but he does fine and it works fine for heretics. To sum up, the win is the win, he does the dirty work someone has to do and its good image of him imo
it’s the perfect duelist for TH but isn’t the duelist crowd were looking for
SideShow should wait for after the tournament to post this
yeah miniboo just need to change hes name to boo and boo to bigboo
These thumbnails go crazy
how kind of you to release this early enough that TH get time to maybe see this 😭
@19:21 you hear the dizzy go off at the same time he runs in but it doesnt flash close for him. i dont think he was sent in on purpose before the dizzy it seems like the timing was corerect for dizzy and neon
1:03:31 casually calling lev the future champs
Kaplan and Drew, yall watching this???
1 hour of Valorant Vsauce is my new breakfast

2024: This guy is good.
We have come a long way boys. Sideshow has turned from a hateful bald man to a softie Egg.
very cool in depth video
And anyone can do the human drone job? 😅
sideshow filling us up with his oily bald content
My goat jingg is 1st in first death stats as well
W jinx at the end
W clickbait
No plays *vineboom*
No lurks *vineboom*

Very good video. Respect
He made a video abt Tenz last year and we all know how that went.
I feel like you should talk about boasters performance
