The lar mar is definitely the best master for a non master fender or marshall. I was recently reading that a vox cut control works well with them. I miggt try it in a future build. I'm guessing it componsates for the perceived loss of treble when you turn the vol down
Not much a difference at all, the preamp gain tends to get muddy on the stock AB165 circuit without reducing the coupling caps, slope resistor and raising treble peaker
