I didn't know anything about armenian sounds apart from Ludovico Einaudi's "jerevan", now I understand where he has taken inspiration from. I am so happy about this discovery
Magical. A musician friend of mine used to tell me that the rapport between the music we know and the music that is, is that of a small island with the whole sea. I think he was right as I seem to always discover beautiful music in the most unexpected and places - i.e. Armenia.
I do not speak Armenian but I can understand this music. So gentle the way the notes are delivered, the pauses and crescendos, the breaths taken in and blown thru the instrument. I can connect instantly.
