Amazing on the MacBook Pro 2021 (M1 pro) mini-led 16 inches. It's amazing what apple has done with this display. I've owned an iPad Pro 12,9 M1 with a mini-led until a few weeks ago, but I could definitely see the blooming and it really was disturbing. Now they completely corrected it. I don't know what magic they did. If you look on their website, it's supposed to be the same screen. Same contrast range, same number of mini-led and dimming zone etc. But no. They definitely did something, it's not the same screen at all. Maybe they put more dimming zones, maybe they added a kind of filter layer, maybe it's because of an improvement in the software (but in that case they should generalize it to every mini-led screen they did!). But they definitely did something that they hide for some reason. You can still see just a very little bit of blooming, but you have to reaaaaaaally be looking for it. Now we can truly say that the quality of their mini-led matches the best OLEDs, and even better because it can get brighter in lighted areas (up to 1600 nit). Congratulation Apple for bringing the best display on a laptop without the disadvantages of OLED (poor durability, burn in etc...). Again, I don't know what they really did, but after two generation of try and fail because of the blooming effect (Pro display XDR, and iPad Pro M1 12,9), now they got it right.They finally nailed it. Congrats Apple and thank you. For that amazing screen + the super great performances + the amazing battery life, I don't regret a single Euros I spent on the laptop! :)
