I love how you compare to walmart and other stores :) A lot of youtubers do dollar tree crafts that end up being more expensive and wasteful than buying the items in a regular store
Yup! And sometimes look very inexpensive because there was no investment in quality materials
Have you heard of Oriental Trading? They are online and have free shipping to your home when you buy $50. Think of where dollar tree gets their raw materials. Then they repackage and sell it for a buck. I saw some really cute little buffalo plaid buckets today. You can get a dozen for around $9. So that's less than dollar tree. But you are very right! DT is not always the best price per piece as places that sell higher quantities of things for less, lol me the little buckets. Michael's sells larger quantities if you buy in bulk. I saw the little wood crates like me DT and if you buy 12 or 24, don't quote me on that quantity, so they come out as 89¢ each, maybe even less.
But I have to s if time, I'm retired, to compare pricing. I'll look for sometimes several hours to get the best price. I've been comfortable in my life but always had to look at prices! That is until dollar tree showed up! 💕💕💕
I would love to see some general organization tips. Not pantry or kitchen drawers or laundry rooms and linen closets. Multi purpose catch all’s. Things like that. I’m not ready for fall or Christmas and I’m totally over beachy, farmhouse and industrial.

Couldn't help but chuckle when you said you hadn't done the math for that glue stick comparison...Walmart's 24/$5.97= approx .25 cents ea stick for just a bit longer; $1 Tree's 5/$1=.20 cents ea...Even at 5 pkgs you'd be getting 1 more glue stick for $1 less! Even after tax where I am it would still be approx .05 cents cheaper at $1 Tree!

I was making patio pillows from DT rugs as I watched the video of you making pillows from DT rugs. I hand seed mine rether than gluing. I tried stuffing them with the plastic bags stores use, but I need a lot more. You have given me an idea. I can use pool noodles for filling. 👍🏻

Texas has all the good Dollar Trees, apparently. We live in FL but are visiting my in-laws in Plano and I've been to so many good ones this trip 😄
Oh, no, no! I live in College Station and there are 3 in my area. I literally have to visit all 3 if I want to *hopefully* get my shopping list completed. For most items, I can't even do the online 'ship to store' thing for some reason. I used to live in SW Houston and there are countless DTs there. The 2 closest to my old house are in old grocery store spots - HUGE! - and were always in nasty disarray, totally unorganized, and missing the most typical of DT items. It's seriously hit-or-miss.

Plano?! How Funny. The 1st Dollar Tree I ever went to was in Plano about 10years ago when I was teaching. Plano has (or at least had) some nice Dollar Tree stores. They have some bigger stores that were stocked well but each store is really hit or miss.

Heads up for Girl Scout leaders is that those skewers would make great DIY knitting needles. Sand off any splinters. We made our own stoppers at the blunt end from baking clay and then glued them on. If your troop doesn't mind sharpening the ends, a regular pencil sharpener can be used on plain ole' dowels.

I like it all DIYS and Tip/Tricks for shopping. If I had to say anything it would be keeping your decorating projects neutral for those of us that don't celebrate mainstream holidays or at least explaining what we could do instead. Some of us don't celebrate Christmas, Halloween, Thanksgiving etc. and would still like to try your DIYS. Thank you so much I always look forward to your videos!
Pool noodles are great for standing up tall boots in the closet to give them a boutique look and to protect the leather from creasing.

If you cut the video short, do another video with the cut footage next! I'm not ready for fall, school, or anything except summer part II, but I realize the DIY world needs to start early. One of the reasons I love your channel so much is you point out the little things, like the fact that spray paint melts styrofoam, and how easy it is to avoid it. I can't tell you how many times I've watched other channels spray styrofoam and I'm like, "NO! STOP!" and they keep going like it's all good and they don't notice their ball is turning into a Salvador Dali element.
