Even the Walbro 450 overloads the EKPM3 and makes it get hot as it was designed to run at just 8A max. Tests have shown the EKPM3 will burn out at around 18A and the Walbro 450 runs at 16A.

I am having the same issue with my 435I. When you disconnected the old ekp there were 2 connectors but you only connected 1 in the vid. What did you do with the other smaller connector or is that bypassed by wiring directly to the pump? Did you need to "code" the ekp in? BTW love the vids keep them coming!!!
Think my ekpm might be messed up. I went with fx180 hpfp and stage 2.5 fuel pump from precision racewerks. When I’m really getting I. It now I get drivetrain malfunction. If I cut off and cut back on it goes away
@slowspeed I installed one as well running a 535 pump. Started seeing some dips in 2nd/3rd on rail @22+ psi on full e. Did you run out of pumping power or Go through the process of figuring out how to bump up the duty cycle on the pump.
Why do a single Walbro 525 (Fuel-it's is $375) and replace the EKP with the BPM4 (at least $700) for a total of over $1000 if you can just throw in a stage 3 LPFP that will outflow the 525 for under $1000? Did EOS give you the RUclips discount? ;)

I have the Walboro 525 Hellcat on mine too. If I ever need more fuel, I might run the stock OEM pump as a second.
