I know this video is years old and you aren't on RUclips much these days, but on the off-chance you see this I just wanted you to know that I find you an incredibly interesting person and your love for creativity and life's oddities and mysteries has inspired me every time I've watched a video of yours. I also really respect how you are a scientifically-minded person but also keep an open mind, exploring and discussing the mythology and spirituality of other belief systems and cultures and incorporating that into your awesome artwork. You've unknowingly helped me through some hard times with insomnia, anxiety and depression. I really enjoyed (and to this day, still do) the soothing qualities of your content and the amazing stuff you show us, from cool to creepy, crystallised to fossilised. I learn something new each time. I'm caught between wanting to snooze and wanting to keep watching to learn more, haha. And as a highly curious person with a love for many topics who loves to learn new things, this channel is a goldmine of endless intrigue. :) Like some others here, you've inspired me to continue with my own curio collection (I've collected foreign currency, shells and gemstones throughout the years since I was kid and stopped for a bit for some reason). But now my interest is refreshed and I have a nice collection on my shelf. I have found some good fossils to add to it and plan on finding more. So thank you so much for inspiring me and I hope whatever you're up to now, you're continuing to stay in touch with your creative side and are happy and healthy with your family. Xox (Sorry for the ridiculously long ramble, just really wanted to say thank you for being you. Maybe one day you may see this and know that you made a big impact on this random viewer's life, haha). ❤️
I bet your son loves show and tell days, or will if he has any, I've never commented before but thank you for making ASMR so educational and interesting I appreciate your uniqueness.
Your appreciation for these objects is laudable. I have many such treasures acquired all the way back from my childhood. They are my most prized possessions.
Oh hi! Welcome! I have my videos arranged in nifty playlists if you've got specific likes or dislikes, I try to cover as many bases as possible, and I've just realized I've published a total of 181 videos, so I hope you find some you like, haha
I know you know I love all these things expect more comments from me. But before I fall asleep AGAIN to this I have to state. Your nails. I can hardly look away from them in this vid! So shiny, chic dark gothy color. One of my abfavs for manicures.
I kept getting so mad at myself because I wanted to see this video till the end to see all the interesting new curios, but kept falling asleep and waking up on the Christmas stocking video!!! Third time is a charm, and I finally kept my eyes open through the whole thing. Silent Citadel, you are a dream to listen to! My top two ASMRtists for sure!
If my house were burning down I might burn with it. I'd just be standing there staring at my shelves saying "what to save, what to save?" (This is a huge exaggeration but illustrates point well I think, lol)
I've never seen a snail use a trap door. Are you 100% sure about your info on that? What you're calling snail doors, I suspect are actually the centers of moon shells. Still beautiful!
There is a legend in Mediterrania about this operculum: it's the eyes of saint lucie, a girl who threw her eyes in the sea because she did'nt want to see the man she was forced to marry. Santa Maria give her amazing eyes and she became the saint who protect blind people. Many other versions of this story, i hope you liked it, sorry for bad english :)
I absolutely love your collections. And the fact you share them with us on your channel. :) :)
Danke!
Thank you for showing us your curios- interesting objects and lovely relaxing vid too!

Thank you. This is the only thing that helped me quiet my mind after hours of tossing and turning and not being able to go to sleep.
Bless your heart
Your little trilobite's face reminds me of E.T. haha! Thanks for sharing, your collections/curios videos are definitely some of my favourites.
so many wonderful things! I could stare at them for hours
I do stare at them for hours
I LOVE this video. Reminds me of Heather Feather's sound assortments, which are my absolute favorite type of ASMR videos. They're so relaxing.
0_0 Everything is awesome. I want to touch it all.

He's only 3, so no show and tell yet- but when he does I'll make sure to send him to school with a phrenological head or a giant fossil, lol

The only Emu in New Zealand are on odd farms. We have lots of smaller birds :) Perhaps you were thinking of the (extinct) Moa?
I think that must be it. My knowledge of giant flightless birds is fairly limited, lol
You inspired me quite awhile ago to start a curio collection of my own :) It's growing
I would love to see a photo! What kind of things are you gravitating towards?
I kept getting so mad at myself because I wanted to see this video till the end to see all the interesting new curios, but kept falling asleep and waking up on the Christmas stocking video!!! I've not done it yet, but you can grow bismuth at home, look into it :)
REALLLLLLLY? I want to try!
So many incredible things.
If my house were burning down I might burn with it. I'd just be standing there staring at my shelves saying "what to save, what to save?" (This is a huge exaggeration but illustrates point well I think, lol)
I'm not that crazy that I've watched this about ten times and I go to sleep everytime. Hehe, not crazy at all!
