As someone who was at uni in Leicester around 2000, can attest to the aceness of this sound. Plenty of stuff going on when really I should have been studying. Junction 21 will be missed greatly, the narrowest club I ever went to, as the DJ booth was right on top of you, or that's what it felt like. Nicest dealers in any club I've been to as well. Saw Bad Company there and saw Twisted Individual a few times. Then, there were the nights at The Asylum at the uni. Saw Grooverider there. Good memories.
Leicester Uni was the best!!! I used to run a night called Sonic Boom with my good friend Tom DJ Priceless at The Charlotte. Those 2 venues for me were perfect.. junction 21 too to be fair.. 👍👍
Goes H-A-R-D, reminds me of the set up n coming Silva Sniper played at her Fabric debut back in Feb '23. This music always sounds like the future, but this tape still sounds about 300 years ahead of its time :)
Fascinating how one of Neros heavy inspiration and influences come from the Jungle scene. In fact, it seems to me that most uk electronic artists or groups, have been influenced by the early jungle days.
I gave a lecture at demontfort uni on record label management as I was label manager for formation at the time and that’s where nero were studying. They attended the lecture and gave me their first demo CD.. That was space 2001!! The rest is history lol..
I’m DJ APB, Thank you so much for putting my mix up on your account!! I never even knew it’s was online till someone showed me yesterday!! Big Love!!
nice selection...meanwhile a "classic" mix for me;)
