We were introduced to him as this super strong and cool badass just for his power to be meaningless compared to Goku, for him to turn out to be wrong about the androids, to get humiliated by the androids, constantly disrespected by Vegeta, humiliated by Cell after learning that a variant of him is responsible for cell being in this timeline, just stand there and watch the first half of the Cell games and be the only one killed when Cell came back just so Vegeta can have a little character development
