I don't get what happened to her career? She's an amazing vocalist, what label head, marketing team or A&R guy needs to get a slap?
Believe it or not she was briefly managed by Larry Rudolph (Britney's longtime manager) during her stint on Motown when her 2nd album was released in Japan only. (She thanks him personally in the spoken credits on the album.)
I always felt Debelah should've replaced Mimi in Brownstone the association with Michael Jackson definitely would've given her more visibility
Her label failed her. She had a hit with “ dance with me” it's like she got lost in the shuffle of all the new 2000 artists

Well to be completely fair, she was brought up in the church and over singing is very common and praised there so, I think that’s why she did it so often. Nonetheless she’s still an amazing singer and did a phenomenal job
