I've never witnessed such an exaggerated reaction to something so trivial in my entire life. But then again, I suppose it comes down to not being accustomed to something that isn't filled with chemicals, artificial flavors, and colorings. The beans on toast looks cold, should be toast the bread, once done put butter on immediately so it melts, then pour on the beans that have been heared up in a pan and eat. Some people add grated cheese or Worcestershire sauce to the beans.
What butter did you use as American butter is known for being ultra bland ? We actually add a large knob of butter to the beans in the saucepan and stir it in as the beans are simmering. It makes it very creamy. We also add black pepper and / or Worcester sauce.
i mix cheese into baked beans, but when i was a young guy we didnt have much money we used to have beans on toast as a meal as it was filling and cheap

guys, beans on toats, as well as chip butty, and crisp sandwhich, which are british staples, these are what you would call struggle meals, or home after night at the pub, something to eat before bed, cheap, the beans on toast are a staple, but you can add to it, cheese, sauces, The HP sauce you may have not not, the HP stands for the houses of parliment, look at the picture, its where i government sits and makes laws also, did you see on the neck of the bottle, the royal seal, it means it is supplied to the queen, now king charles, any product that is supplied to the king, and is deemed fit, will be give the royal seal

A lot of our meals got bulked out with bread and butter in the war years when food was rationed so adding bread and butter became normal for that generation and has been passed on ever since. Try adding salted crisps (chips) to a sandwich you'd usually season with salt.
You need to try those beans on toast again with more well done toast, butter melted into the toast, and piping hot beans!!! But loved to hear all your opinions, please do more food reviews, especially of UK stuff! It has two meanings :) our (sponge) puddings are a type of pudding/dessert! Sponge puddings are usually served with ice cream or hot custard. Oh, and pickle is usually had with cheese and crackers/bread, and you need a lot of butter under the marmite when you have marmite on toast!! Hobnobs and digestives are traditional British biscuits, while the other ones you bought are more modern - my favourite digestive is the plain one, or dark chocolate :)

Enjoyed that it made me laugh . To be fair the sugar and chemical content has been greatly reduced in products since I was a kid and it does make a lot of products taste blander and to be honest not as nice but you do get used to it . Digestives have been around since the 19th century and at first they were thought to aid digestion hence the name . I have to admit I eat five packs of the milk chocolate digestives each week . Those small sponge puddings can often be disappointing . It took me years to like pickle .
Overheated beans are terrible. (We all have our personal preferences) My granddaughters won't eat Heinz baked beans. Astonishingly, she can tell the difference
@@ant5963 Perhaps you're unaware that Scotland is a country in UK.
