We used the steel cable style whip checks for a while, but they had a near 100% failure rate, even at 100 psi. They couldn't grip the hose tight enough and it would just pull out.
Why has it taken 40 plus years for USA to talk about this and starting to make people aware , this was used back in the 1980s in Europe and middle east with very strict safety training & awareness course's,
