I've been running inav for years on all of my multi and fixed. My last build (2yrs ago) was a LR dead cat 7in with the f722se. Love that setup. I'm currently sourcing a heavy lift with 28in props and definitely sticking with matek.

Matek is great. SpeedyBee F722 V3 is awesome and there's an INAV target in 5.1

    I have a F722-SE sitting & waiting for a LR 7" build.
Also on iNav, so I might repurpose to an X8 in the future. Thanks for this!

I bought several when they first came out and I've nearly used them all.

I use the Matek F722HD on my Thicc. I've yet to try iNav, prefer the flight performance of BF, and have struggled to copy rates over. However the more reliable RTH of iNav is appealing, must try it out again

The matrix filter makes tuning so much easier. Give inav a go.

I have the same board and frame. When I updated to BF 4.5 (from 4.3) I lost manual control of motors. Motors all still vibrate when booting up. Trying to figure that out now :(

the link for the shendrones thicc is wrong and it links back to this video. Super cool though thanks for putting dev time into this. I use this board for myself as well and its quite nice !

Great video 👍🏼. I’m after a new flight controller for my IronMan 650 frame. I’m trying to give it a new lease on life. Will the Matek F722SE be a good choice?

Gday from downunder Whirley. Thanks for the prompt post on the ao7 gps holder . Mate I have a question on the thicc and maybe a small bone to pick . The Gh5 that you use on the thicc uses image stabilisation now im a pretty dumb newby if I may say so myself, before anyone else .. and I gone and seen old mate whirles sporting a gh5 on the thicc n didnt do my homework and thought gh5 whirley uses one . He looks like he knows what he doing . Grab a gh5. Granted I couldnt find no black magic for the price I could afford . Got a good deal on a practically new gh5 with the 12-35 and a few other extras for a k aus . Im hoping you can tell me you said somewhere in your thicc video dont get a gh5 and or there is a workaround that is equally as good as using a komodo or black magic with no image stabilization , and I just wasnt paying attention if you did . You know us dumb newbys , we see you you tube fpv gurus like JB and yourself showing stuff and we go n buy that . So I got the gh5 for a grand and the built thicc 2nd hand for $700 with 2 batteries and a shopping bag full of props.
Please tell me ive had a win
I fell down this expensive fpv rabbit hole , actually I got pushed and ive made a few dumb mistakes on the way , yeh yeh props off , ive still got my feet attatched.
Reason im asking is a dude on another channel says make sure to get a camera with no image stabilization on the thicc .

You're spot on with the GH5 stabilisation. Check out my upgrade video that addresses these issues and more. ruclips.net/video/qwYQGF4ZmKQ/видео.html

@@WhirlyBloke Can I respectfully suggest you should recommend not to go get a Gh5 on that video maybe in the description to stop people like me going and purchasing it ? My fault totaly for not doing my homework on that 1 I have been preparing for a trip away . Early onset farking dementia and photos and video are memories right .This is more than just a hobby for me , its a also a way to keep my brain working and boy doesnt this hobby have some challenges so I need all the help I can get . End of my life sob story . So Ive got a problem now . I can try and sell the Gh5 and save up for a black magic or can you tell me how does the stead xp on the gh5 stack up against the black magic without it on gyroflow ? Or does it not even work at all for the reasons why image stabilization on the gh5 gets messed up from fpv flying
I know using the steadxp is a hassle and costs €350 which is like another grand in ausy money with taxes . So I need to work out what im going to do. Another option I just had a thought ... dangerous ... I wonder how hard it would be to take my Gh5 apart and disable the image stabilization. Cant think of any other ideas other than fork out more money for a black magic and possibly sell the Gh5 . Also I was told something about using another flight controller with gyro and sd card and syncing up somehow in gyroflow. Lastly the gps . Do you think its a must have on the thicc ? What is the furthest you have flown it away , what flight times you getting and what batteries do you use ? Thanks in advance for any help your able to offer.
