For those wondering why some services have regular limited reroutes during rush hours, there isn’t enough room to turn around all trains at the terminus, and more trains on the intermediate sections, especially through Manhattan means better passenger flow. However, in my opinion, they should just terminate at an intermediate station along their route that has a layup track. This is because diversion from the usual route can cause confusion. Yes, passengers would have to transfer if it were eliminated, but it’s better than having confusing service. BTW, in Munich, some subway lines don’t run on dedicated sections and run on different sections of different lines. These are known locally as booster lines.
I remember riding the R46 on the F train back in the day. And I do remember the LCD panel where they replaced the rollsign side panels, except the R68 still do. The LCD side panels were first used in the early 1990’s where it was upgraded to the R46.
N Train skipping 49th Street. What a dream come true!
Announcements are so clear to understand.
