Gotta ride the wave. Sometime u crush anything on the bar, others it’s a huge grind. If it was awesome awesome it would be boring. Keep smashing it 👍🏼

Had similar in my peak, struggling to hit a single on a weight I’d done an easy three two weeks before. Then turned up to my comp and my opener was heavier. Definitely not your age, you’re doing great, keep it going and trust the process!

Thanks Andy! I recall some similarities from peaking prior to last meet, so I’m still optimistic!

Keep your head up brother, you got this! I wasn't feeling very strong going into my peak a couple weeks ago. I actually felt I would hit lower numbers this time after a 15 lb weight cut. After my 2nd week of peaking, I felt better from all the technique work. I ended up getting a 15 lb pr on squat, a 10 lb pr on bench, but bombed out on DLs. I was so gassed I couldn't even get my 1st attempt, not to mention the 2nd or 3rd. So I was pretty disappointed about that. Next time I need to get my work capacity up. I need to get a DL on film this week for a GGC submission lol.

I hear you Carter and I recall similar during my last peak too. Good luck with your submission attempt but go easy.

Tough when you hit a stumbling block but you seem to be taking it in stride and glad you aren't letting it cause you to force stupid stuff

Absolutely Jonathan. It is part of training - win some, lose some. Tomorrow is another day to be a better version of ourselves.

Actually wore it under the T-shirt…not trying to be a hero! 🤪just didn’t have it that day. Seems like I needed more time to recover from the triple @ 385 lbs a couple of weeks prior.

when you peak you should feel like shit it mean that you have gain under your fatigue and when you deload you body will be stronger

One of those weeks Mick! This phase of the training is toughest, as it preps one for the comp. Staying optimistic brother.
