This young guy did a great job .. he should of washed your hair to complete your visit .. My shop has a 15 yr old boy - not liscenced but learned in iraq.. he answers phone and mops the floor .. so I offered to be a Guinea pig for him.. he cut my hair ( under owner supervision). Excellent job proficient.. great skills my hair is similar to yours… .. so if he’s in the shop when I go in .. I let him cut my hair. I pay him too even though he’s not supposed to get $$$. .. his area to strengthen is washing hair… he’s a bit limp in the massage… but I told him don’t be afraid to “ scrub” harder it’s more relaxing. I must say the best shampooing I got was from an elderly old school beautician.. wow !
I'm from Philippines I'm a lesbian my job is a barber ,I never get nervous win I cut my costumers hair , always remember fucose on your work remember what is the first step you need to do..
You can tell he’s still learning, dudes really detail oriented and took his time. Hopefully soon he can get better clippers that will save him so much time. It’s always great seeing how calm and relaxed Jason is through these haircuts even when he doesn’t know what the end result will be.

The pressure was due to the intense scrutiny from the video camera and also the client's mum a distance away. Therefore, this boy had to live up to his credibility as a good barber. Looks like not only was he very meticulous in his job, he also spent too long a time servicing one client.. Imagine what ould happen if he had many clients waiting and he happened to be the only barber. It could really get onto the clients' nerves waiting too long.
@@thenande sorry i had to rewatch this to give you a better comment since its been 2 months lol but notice at about 35:53 he took that side a little too high, that's his part line and now he's going to go and blend it in, if he didn't those hairs would be poking straight up and without product his hair there would be really poofy, and while he's working with scissors there he's realizing like "if i take too much off it'll make it worse" so its a balancing act

Oh I’m actually pretty early to a video! For being only 17 he’s quite comfortable using his tools and you ended up with a pretty nice haircut (and shave). Good stuff as always Jason, Happy Easter!
Nice video. Couldn't help but notice both customer and barber were sweating profusely. Was the weather warmer or more humid than usual? During my couple months in Bangkok, then Phuket (1980), didn't notice any sweating.

I'm not surprised he did not ask how the customer wanted his hair as he could already see what style his customer preferred by the way it was combed. My barber is the same. Getting a haircut from a traditional men's barber is one of the most relaxing things I do. The price in the video is about a third of what I pay in Spain. Think of the tip this kid would get if he were paid in Spanish prices.
