I think I figure out the reason behind Mingyu's popularity. Why do so many people, including myself, are so captivated by this man? Of course, his looks. Undeniably handsome. But in the sea of handsome, gorgeous men out there in the kpop, his face is not the only factor. From this interview, you can see that he ENJOYS working in kpop. He has fun working with his members; even when on a world tour, he went about to enjoy many things. Playing volleyball with strangers, hanging out with Jeonghan and DK, vacationing with The8, and eating out with Scoups and Seungkwan. And, of course, he shares that joy with Carats. Instead of choosing the "picture-perfect," he uploaded the pictures that he ENJOYS. And thus, the sense of enjoyment is felt by Carats and the viewers too. Obviously his amazing visuals contribute greatly to it but apart from that he just gives off that vibe where you feel secure and enjoy his funny moments too. Mingyu has such a lovely personality. Everyone loves him so much, as they should. He's one of the most genuine people. He speaks fast just like I do, haha. Love you ❤
When I got into seventeen, I already had heard a bit about mingyu having huge popularity. So at first, I focused on other members more while watching the mvs, gose, and other variety shows. But with time, I keep getting attracted to him. A lot of his parts in seventeen songs are iconic.
I find him super adorable and cute in gose being roasted by whole svt. Since I watched "one fine day" I realised mingyu is super talented. The way he cooks makes him so husband material.
It's so hard to have a bias in svt, I get bias wrecked often.😂
Yeah I liked all SVT members and I loved his voice but the moment I watched One Fine Day in Japan was the moment from when this man has had me in a choke hold😂😭🫠🫠🫠 we love huge, reliable teddy bears🥰🥰🥰🥰

Mingyu is the one who introduced me to Seventeen. I fell for him due to his handsomeness, but like after an hour of watching videos of him, I fell for his personality. Honestly though, he is the happiest person I’ve seen. He always looks like he enjoys his time with the members and always seems to have a smile on his face. Of course I’ve only been a carat for about a year now, but it feels like I’ve been with them since pre-debut. I was a Mingyu stan from the beginning but now I’m OT13. I just hope Mingyu never changes because I love his personality so much.
