  • Isaiah made an AWESOME silver buy - I thought it was so cool that he found this group of silver out of a coin shop - and I was thrilled to go and unbox it. It has to be my favorite thing to do with coins... going through a fresh batch and searching previously unknown coins is the best! There were some unusual and unique items mixed in here, and I was thrilled to look through. What do you think - what would you have paid for these items?

That's king george iii not iv. It's the bullhead bust type that came about at the turn of the 19th century.

Interesting lot. Shame so many were holed. Your Turkish coin in 83% silver. I think your best coins were the 1934 New Zealand shilling and the 1883 Spanish peseta. Quite a few of the coins carry a premium over their bullion value.

@@chrisinnes2128 The 1930 50 centavos from Portugal has NO silver. The 1 Peso Morelos has 10% silver. There is also a 1920 5 centavos from Cuba with no silver.

I never said that any of these coins are silver what I said ist that none of these coins are made of copper-nick clad copper which is only used by the United States of America for their coins

    Neat.
But not quite as neat as what they found in that West Point time capsule!
I believe the last coin is one of William III of England.
