I’m driving Sedans in Baltimore. Still dangerous but people are generous overall. I’ve been around the country, Bmore got good people. They should teach all this kids construction and remodeling with all these abandoned houses.

YES SIR!! Bring the TRADES back into the public school systems!! I coach football at a school with children considered more than "At Risk". I tell my players all the time , college, although a very good option, it's NOT the only option. That the trades a a valuable thing. That you can live a GOOD LIFE,and be able to provide for yourself and your family. The "ADMINISTRATION " Has really told me to "COOL IT WITH THE TALK ABOUT THE TRADES! THESE KIDS NEED TO GO TO COLLEGE!" I was told MORE then once to stop.
I didn't. They need to bring back shop, auto shop, metal shop, home economics as well. Teaching kids how to cook, sew, shop for groceries, and balancing a household check book. And ultimately prepare them to TAKE GOOD CARE OF THEMSELVES!! DUHHH...UH DUHHHH! This is what we need to be teaching our kids. NOT the plentiful B.S. in the system today.

Facts @jimmy I have a 12 year old I always try to teach him a little on every trade. Give his world more opportunities than the system will offer. All these kids need to be in a trade by 6th grade

Yes, but the heroin was strong in the city. B more has been plagued with drug issues since the days of Billie Holliday!

Even though the heroin was out it was only with the older people for kids it was still fun...Crack...Everyone's involved and affected. The late 80s to early 90s

My cousin was a housekeeper/nanny for a wealthy physician for decades ago. Back in the day he bought a home in St. Michaels, in which she still resides. The physician’s family loves her and still check and visit with her. I went to visit a couple of years ago and there were so many white people and very few blacks. She explained how the reason her boss bought the house there was bc it was a black community then. So nice to learn and actually see history. Thank you for the video.

The penitentiary was no joke. I heard stories. The whole time those people across the street from the pen was in there homes chilling and watching tv, at that same moment someone was getting stabbed beat or killed in that pen.

In the 80’s my mother escaped my abusive father and moved to Baltimore from Harrisburg, PA. I am about to leave my abusive husband and move to Baltimore. I will be safer in the crime riddled city of Baltimore than I am living in the Midwest with my husband. Words of my mom “No woman beater is tough enough to go to Baltimore to get us”

My father was a prison guard there before I was born. He was fired for taking a fire hose to someone. Another inmate warned him that they were planning on killing him at the end of the wing, so he turned around grabbed the fire hose and retuned to his walk. When he got down to the end, he used non-lethal force to eliminate the problem. He lost his job, but gained a best friend. They laughed about all the time and later, both retired from the News American.
