Some explanation on the settings would be nice. Why not enable ofdma? Did it have negative consequences. Also why beacon interval 50? Also I live in canada the channel before I sent this router back for poor performance only went up to about 165 I believe. Curious yours goes higher. Why do you feel higher channel is better?
Beacon interval is how fast the beacon sends a signal, so for example 100 is the default, 250 is slower, and 50 is faster. So by setting it at 50 we get a very fast speed of intervals, but it also drains more power

What's the maximum possible bandwidth on a quest 2? I have a wifi 6e router right beside me when I'm on airlink. Or maybe the 200mbps in airlink menu is the maximum?
Gave this a shot, and just could not get it to work (and may have screwed up my stable VD setup in the process). I have the same router (AXE75) in Canada, and a 4090. Going through the guide in order, I noticed after switching to 960 mbps, the experience got VERY laggy, so I kept going through the tutorial and realized I needed to switch the router to Access Point mode. After doing that, nothing changed. Extremely laggy. I tried every single channel (12 of them) and always get extreme laggy performance just in the first Airlink interface after connecting to PC (waited for it to stabilize, never did). Here's the worst part, I went back to my previously very stable AV1-10 bit 200mbps Virtual Desktop connection, and now that is laggy too! It seems switching into Access Point has really screwed things up for me in VD, while also not providing a stable Airlink experience. A consideration - Is this an router problem or a bitrate problem, or both? Because switching to AP in the router broke my perfectly working VD setup, I'm inclined to think it's a router problem (still need to switch back off of AP mode to see if VD stability comes back). With that said, when in Airlink if I reduce the bitrate by about half it gets better (but still laggy). to define what I mean by laggy, if i look in one direction quickly I see the sides of my view switch to black screen. When I move my hands up and down, the rendered representation of my hands is way late to respond. Any suggestions on how to troubleshoot further?

Your internet speed (ISP provided) does not affect your wireless VR bandwidth. As long as you have a dedicated router, that speed will be the one that affects your Wireless VR experience. in the USA, Wi-Fi 6 also utilizes the 6GHz frequency band. Wi-Fi 6 operates in multiple frequency bands, including 2.4GHz and 5GHz, but the introduction of the 6GHz band, specifically the 6E (6GHz Extended) designation, has expanded the available spectrum for faster and more reliable wireless connections. This means that Wi-Fi 6 can take advantage of the 6GHz frequency to provide improved performance, reduced interference, and better support for high-bandwidth applications. It's like opening up a new express lane for your wireless data traffic! In other words, you can have 6Ghz with Wifi 6 too... so an indicator of 6Ghz in quest does not indicate 6E usage.

The App tracking to Mid-photon latency is probably not the right number you should be looking at. That number stays the same even when the V-sync offset number (on the Oculus link detail page) changes. And you can feel when it does.
What numbers we should be looking at I dont know. VD shows nice and low numbers but I was never able to make it feel as low latency as airlink. Maybe its magic maybe it overpredicts hugely.

How did you solve the issue of the audio being broken? When I set the bitrate any higher than 700ish, the audio starts to get fucked up.
I abandoned Airlink because VD H264+ at 400mbps looks better than Airlink 700mbps with the plus side being I don't have to use Oculus bullshit shitty software.
? My audio doesn't do that, that's weird. Maybe your network connection isn't stable
But if you put your router in AP mode then you can’t have your pc hard lined into the router. Shouldn’t you have the pc plugged into the same router? Do you have your pc plugged into your main router instead of the tp link router?
No, your dedicated router (in this case my tp link) is plugged directly into my computer. Dedicated routers should mainly be on AP mode.
@@LunchAndVR I’m sorry but I’m not sure I follow your comment. To clarify you said your tp link in the video is set up as an AP. So that means you can not have your pc plugged into that router. small issue - VD now supports 500 mbps

Any suggestions on how to troubleshoot further?

in the USA, Wi-Fi 6 also utilizes the 6GHz frequency band.
