Man oh man, that would be a great theme to develop when they start getting defensive - what precisely are they hiding?. Also, why the fuss about car registration numbers? Are they thinking we do what some of them so shamelessly do - use the power to request details of a car's owner even when they're off duty? It would cost us around £30 a shot, so WE don't have the freedom to contact DVLA like they do. Very suspicious, especially as I had a visit (off duty) by a little squirt in his own car harassing and distressing me (don't even mention alarm!!) for something that was done with my car whilst I was out of the country.
They are cowards and my dad told me about men like this as a child. He said those bullies that think they are above you and have a right over you will be found hiding in their mothers loft if there is real trouble they may have to deal with.

As a retired Kent Police officer that was quite embarrassing. The officers were not at all professional. It only needed one officer, not four to speak to the male, and then to threaten him with arrest for anti social behaviour was the icing on the cake. If he refused his details, just close the gate and walk back inside the building. You must all be aware that this goes on a lot these days. Just smile and be courteous.

To clarify; this was a publicly accessible place, a publicly owned place and had no restrictive notices. He also had not been asked to leave by the owner or agent. A conviction for trespass would be very difficult.

Civil trespass is a an offence for which you can be prosecuted in a civil court. Could be classed as found on enclosed premises, the area is protected be fencing and it would be clear that it’s a private area but you would argue the gate is open.

There's probably enough grounds there to take legal action against them, for their threatening behaviour and threatening to take away your liberty by saying the names of certain laws - none of which were applicable to your behaviour.
The swearing at the end does you no good. Instead, what you should do is make more of it by making complaints. You then record the calls from DPS etc, and broadcast those too. Failure to identify, failure to inform of BWV. Making threats. Need for retraining on their powers, ....That takes auditing to a new level. Not just the first interaction, but the follow ups.

Can somebody explain to me at what point they can forcibly remove someone from private property, and during that is Matt liable for a criminal offence if he hurts an officer (even by mistake) as well as them being liable for an assault if they hurt Matt? For instance if Matt or an officer had a heart attack would the other party be liable for manslaughter ? Ta!
To forcibly remove someone from private property, it is usually recommended the PAWE technique be followed: Persuade, Ask, Warn, and Evict (the final step that should be used when all other options have been exhausted, which sadly isn’t always the case as witnessed, since many officers may jump straight to Evict) - the police can only use ‘reasonable force’ to remove you from the private property (i.e. escorting with minimal body contact with hands), so if they shoved/pushed/hit/kicked you/handcuffed you/restrained you/made you fall to the ground and sustain anything from bruising to a serious injury, that could be classed as grounds ranging from assault/battery to GBH (depending on the severity of injury, e.g. a heart attack could be interpreted as GBH if reasonably founded to have been caused by unreasonable force)

Civil trespass is a an offence for which you can be prosecuted in a civil court.
Could be classed as found on enclosed premises, the area is protected be fencing and it would be clear that it’s a private area but you would argue the gate is open.

Used to be about 50/50 but is now about 5 good out of 6ish so things are changing. Instead of showing them on you tube i choose not to record the encounter out of respect but give a google review of the station and staff online.

There's probably enough grounds there to take legal action against them, for their threatening behaviour and threatening to take away your liberty by saying the names of certain laws - none of which were applicable to your behaviour.

The swearing at the end does you no good. Instead, what you should do is make more of it by making complaints. You then record the calls from DPS etc, and broadcast those too.
Failure to identify, failure to inform of BWV. Making threats. Need for retraining on their powers, ....That takes auditing to a new level. Not just the first interaction, but the follow ups.

Can somebody explain to me at what point they can forcibly remove someone from private property, and during that is Matt liable for a criminal offence if he hurts an officer (even by mistake) as well as them being liable for an assault if they hurt Matt? For instance if Matt or an officer had a heart attack would the other party be liable for manslaughter ?

To forcibly remove someone from private property, it is usually recommended the PAWE technique be followed: Persuade, Ask, Warn, and Evict (the final step that should be used when all other options have been exhausted, which sadly isn’t always the case as witnessed, since many officers may jump straight to Evict) - the police can only use ‘reasonable force’ to remove you from the private property (i.e. escorting with minimal body contact with hands), so if they shoved/pushed/hit/kicked you/handcuffed you/restrained you/made you fall to the ground and sustain anything from bruising to a serious injury, that could be classed as grounds ranging from assault/battery to GBH (depending on the severity of injury, e.g. a heart attack could be interpreted as GBH if reasonably founded to have been caused by unreasonable force)
