No. It was part of Gondwanaland and before that Pangea. Not just dinosaurs either but all terrestrial flora and fauna that occur in Australia has related groups on continents that used to be part of the ancient land masses. That's why Proteaceae and penguins are found on present day continents in the southern hemisphere. Plate tectonics is the main causal factor for the distributions and biogeography is the field of study. So, Australia may superficially look unique but evolutionary they are not.
Just some feedback, the "jump to warp speed" style transition is quite nauseating to someone prone to vertigo. The gentle fades match the tone of your videos far better. Otherwise, I really enjoy the narration. It is very calming for someone resting, trying to recover from illness. Thank you 💜
Mostly they can be seen walking around with a wide brimmed hat with cork’s dangling from the edges, and with a metallic can in their hands that they periodically put to their lips! Sounds from their lips include, Cobber, g’day, and Sheila’s!
Yep! Thanks Australia for the extinction of the thylacine! An animal that carries beautiful puppies in its pouch! THE POWER OF BOUNTIES! THE ALMIGHTY $$$. Now do the right thing & bring them back! YOU have the means! R.J.😢😢
The Introduction is BS. Unique fauna because of ‘The separation from the mainland continents of Asia and South America.’.. Australia was never connected to Asia! Australia has moved up and collided with South East Asia, but has NEVER been in contact mainland Asia. That is why species from Asia aren’t found in Australia. Look up ‘Wallace’s Line’ for a detailed explanation. Then the comments in the intro: Tropical to the East and South. No. Tropical across the entire NORTH. The South can be dry in parts. And the deserts are mainly central. Get your facts straight, or don’t make claims you know nothing about. At 10:00 the video says that Carboniferous forests were dominated by huge arthropods. But ‘Australia harboured something much different’. Then it goes on to describe ‘Barameda ’., a huge freshwater fish. Then the narration describes how a North American species was even bigger. So, Australia didn’t have anything ‘different’. Just a smaller species of a huge fish…. I stopped watching a this point…
Only ignorant residents of the United States call Australia ‘Down Under’. It’s an Americanism and Australians cringe when they hear it. Good documentary.
LOL, the AI narrator sounds like Stephen Hawking got high. I didn't even get a minute into this before I broke down laughing. Please use real people to tell your stories.
All the people here in the comments going on about the narrators voice if you don’t like the voice just move on but I am interested in the information it’s telling so not going to let the voice bother me because that’s ridiculous..
Australian wildlife, doin' its own thing since the beginning of time.
Stolen from South America

Yes!another one added to my collection of favorite shows to watch b4 makin my nightly routine bed time stories!ty
Mutta- burra- saurus is how it is said. We have a number now of sauropods and in north-western Australia we have stegosaurus fossil footprints.
I wondered if someone would correct them haha
IMHO, unless proven false, is that this 'voice' is software-generated.
Many see Australia as a playground for deadly wildlife today, I can only imagine what it was like in prehistoric times
that was a fantastic watch, really interesting
Thanks

this is a pretty good and complete video, however, plz work on the bass of the audio, is Hella high!
I have always wondered what sort of odd creatures inhabited early Australia. Now I know.
Do you mean in prehistoric times or more recently?
Haha yup You'll find a few odd creatures here.
Mostly they can be seen walking around with a wide brimmed hat with cork’s dangling from the edges, and with a metallic can in their hands that they periodically put to their lips! Sounds from their lips include, Cobber, g’day, and Sheila’s!
And thats half the battle
You’ll find quite a lot of odd creatures here I can tell ya that for a fact!
dinosaur of australia good show
Don't forget the numerous fossils of various Ediacaran organisms such as Dickinsonia, Spriggina, etc.
20:54 Paris and Janeway.
wow so australia has always been strange
The narrator sounds like he is heavily medicated.
I’m pretty sure it’s really good AI lol
Or a brain in a jar of ooze hooked up to electrodes that was actually there in times of old;) ...or both
Yep! Thanks Australia for the extinction of the thylacine! An animal that carries beautiful puppies in its pouch! THE POWER OF BOUNTIES! THE ALMIGHTY $$$. Now do the right thing & bring them back! YOU have the means! R.J.😢😢
the narration sounds strange - is this software-generated?

Why all the non Australian species pics while you’re talking about the Australian ones?
Because they only have so much stock footage.
I do find the music a bit annoying.
God's really amazing.
B O R I N G.
BIG BLACK MONKEY
The dinosaurs never died out in Australia, you can still see them out in the Northern Territory
Only ignorant residents of the United States call Australia ‘Down Under’. It’s an Americanism and Australians cringe when they hear it.
Good documentary.
why is the ancient aborigine portrayed as a pre-Homo sapiens???
So this is a bunch of stock footage with some AI voiceover, right?
And people want to time travel. Uh huh.
Narration was robotic. AI?
