I must say this is just one of those interviews highlighting the state of our legal profession and what lacks in the transformation of the legal profession. It is also an eye opener for those white senior colleagues on what they can proactively do to champion and support the black colleagues

but question remains.do they want to transform South Africa?i feel like they want this positions just to delay transformation.you cannot want to represent everyone but still speak 2 or 1 language.

The right questions hasn't been asked, and no one has brought it upon.
What would your final judge be on courting a figured individual? Looking at the judgement of Oscar.
These interviews must bring upon those judgements or practiced reality.
People must be interviewed by terms of previous work done, especially when challenges over preceding results exists.

Maybe they should clearly state in the constitution that every person applying for government positions should have knowledge of at least 1 SA languages. This would avoid these kind of questions by Malema regarding languages

He should have been asked the question. "Say I am a non English speaker Sir,. I do not speak Any English whatsoever.Would it be feasible for me to expect to be submitted into one of the most powerful positions within the British judiciary and expect to be successful? I do not know how to converse with 90% of the population. How do you rate my chances Sir?"

not only on this interview, about many others but I am certainly of the view the chief justice is someone who really is passionate about transformation, this can be in house within the judiciary, this would be with regards black lawyers and women and the briefing there too.this is the same even in broad issues.

Malema's questions were politically motivated and based on generalizations.he engaged in a battle of wit and he actually lost. Well done to the Chief Justice. By Malema's own admission he knows nothing about law and should not be there. Again well done Chief Justice.
