I'm soooo glad she agreed to come on. You both make each other light up sooo much and it's so obvious how much you love each other. exactly it really is so subjective for sure ! maybe she liked some better in the store because there were other fragrances dancing around the air who knows! or like you said taste changes so much

there's a stall in my shopping center where I work and they hand out scent cards
I think this was a great video to illustrate how the fragrance world, it's styles and influence have changed over the past 25-50 years! Our Nanas grew up with florals, citrus and aldehydes dominating feminine scents ..Maybe the occasional fruit note- Gourmands didn't exist! When she said- I don't want to smell like food .. LoL! I mean my grandma ONLY still wears Channel No. 5...But, anyone born after 1980- we DIG gourmands! I was a pre-teen when Mugler's Angel took the world by storm! I remember smelling it everywhere and thinking.. That is what a cool woman smells like! So- I respect and understand your grandma's perspective but, I am glad (at least when it comes to fragrance) that we live in this era... 💜

I feel like your Gran might enjoy Mon Guerlain, it’s such a classy frag and she seems to like lavender! I also wonder - she wasn’t getting Angels’ Share confused with Mugler’s Angel, was she? It would make sense if she loved Angel in store but wasn’t hot about Angels’ Share - they’re definitely different!
