Your Chicago style dog looked proper and correct size : besides the poppy seed bun, all beef hotdog (usually Vienna brand, it has the right snap when bite into it), other ingredients need to be put in a particular order--then yellow mustard, sweet relish, tomato slices, diced onions, kosher pickle spear, sport peppers and finally a sprinkle of celery salt. Taste is personal, but definitely try at least once. Kind of like another famous Chicago eat--the deep dish pizza.
