I absolutely loved Bonaire, it is a beautiful island with beyond stunning landscape and beyond rich culture. Also I notice an extremely heavy dutch influence in Bonaire as well (not sure if you would also agree with me on that), by the way if you are dutch and have a dutch passport from the mainland European Netherlands, do you need to carry a passport and/or clear customs when you arrive in Bonaire or arrive in Amesterdam from Bonaire?

Hey, you don’t need to clear customs when you come back from bonaire because i think its considered a domestic flight. But sometimes when you fly towards bonaire from amsterdam they refuel the plane in punta cana (most of the time its aruba) you need to pass customs in punta cana and obviously schiphol.
