    Today, getting what you need is as easy as a trip to the store. From food to clothing, energy, medicine, and so much more, Andy George will discover what it takes to make everything from scratch. His mission is to understand the complex processes of manufacturing that is often taken for granted and do it all himself. Each week he’s traveling the world to bypass the modern supply chain in order to harvest raw materials straight from the source. Along the way, he’s answering the questions you never thought to ask.

      I use these videos in my 4th grade class. Only downside is that the narrator sometimes mumbles or speaks too quickly and it's hard to understand certain words he says. Otherwise they are great!

    There was a really good comment on the other video about glass bottles, I would hope that you read it. I think it would be nice if you were more descriptive than just saying, "it's aged up to 7 years". (when I google it, it said that the clay became more flexible and workable due to the water penetrating more thoroughly through the fine particles and few other processes) Perhaps you can assume the viewer will ask the question "why" to your every statement, and then answering those that you think are reasonable...

    • @williamfox3351
      @williamfox3351 7 лет назад +7

      Maybe it wasn't explained to him why they age the clay other than it improves it. But yeah I agree that the more information the better.

    I love the videos dude, they're fantastic! As they are a new series, you could still use a liiiiiittle polishing though.
    You should write out your narration script and have it proof read (you misused the word ran when you should have used run), and likekagi95 said, you could really use some more explanation as to the why some things are done.
    None of these are complaints persay, just observations. I am truly inspired by these videos, and I can't wait for more! Keep at it guys!

      Clay is aged to enhance a working property called plasticity. Over the time it's aged, bacterial growth allows it to stretch farther without cracking or collapsing as easily as it does if used immediately.

    My mother buit herself a house on a patch of land with a lot of clay. In Trinidad, many of us are of Indian descent and so use clay ovens. She dug the clay straight out of the erth and built an outdoor choulha right there. No refinement, just built it on site right next to the hole it was dug out from.
