Let me put it into perspective for you in terms you, dear reader, might understand. Think of the United States as a ship. Each dollar, being a debt instrument, is a gallon of water. Currently the United States has taken on 35 trillion gallons of water. But the United States is not just a ship, its actually a submarine. Currently the United States is underwater. You can think of the surface of the ocean as the Gross Domestic Product. At 100 percent debt to GDP, the submarine is just below the surface of the water. Currently the Debt to US GDP is 120 percent. That means the submarine is below the surface of the water. Still not a problem because submarines can go below water. But submarines can't go too deep or they implode. The deeper the submarine goes, the more likely the sub will implode due to the enormous pressure of the ocean. Its a total and sudden catastrophic failure of the hull. A sub has to be very careful when it is below water. Many things can go wrong, such as a fire onboard the sub, a mechanical failure, or other events that force the sub deeper and deeper into the depths of the ocean. Many things can cause the sub to not be able to surface, which it must do or the crew will all slowly die. It cannot remain submerged indefinitely. It must surface or the crew will die. For the US submarine to surface the Debt to GDP must be below 100 percent or the sub remains underwater. The longer the sub remains underwater, the more likely the crew will all die. Another problem that the crew of the sub may have to face is saboteurs on board. These are akin to "suicide bombers" or "Kamikaze" pilots. They will sacrifice their lives to sink the sub and kill the crew. This problem is magnified exponentially if the sub is submerged. If the sub is above the waterline and a saboteur attacks the sub, the likelihood of the sub actually sinking and killing all the crew is not as great as when the sub is submerged. If, for instance, a saboteur explodes a bomb on board the sub and causes a hole in the hull, the sub will take on water. But the sub may not sink as the captain can close water tight compartments to limit the amount of flooding. If the sub is submerged he can "blow the tanks", which means he can release the water in the water tanks that are used to submerge the sub, filling them with onboard compressed air. But this may not be enough depending on how bad the flooding is, which prevents the sub from surfacing. The sub may not sink, but it still cannot surface, which it must do, or the crew dies. The longer the sub remains submerged, the greater the danger to the crew becomes. You are the crew. You can be willing to go deeper into the ocean of debt, but the distance to the surface is also greater, which you MUST return to or you will die and the sub will sink and implode. If you go too deep, the sub will implode. The ONLY WAY for you to ascend to the surface in the ocean of debt is to have less debt. To have less debt, you have to cut borrowing, which REDUCES the money supply as the pieces of paper you are using as money is debt. And nobody wants to have LESS MONEY. But you are BELOW WATER, you MUST surface at some point in time. You cannot remain submerged forever or the sub - the nation - will sink. The longer you stay submerged, the greater the danger becomes. To return to the surface as the situation is now, you have to cut borrowing by at least 25 percent. That's A LOT of money when you are measuring in TRILLIONS of dollars. That means that you're going to have to STOP spending borrowed money to support OTHER NATIONS - INCLUDING ISRAEL - among many other things as well. Now, Israel doesn't want you to stop supporting it, and they are "part of the crew" by "dual citizenship". They demand you keep going deeper in the ocean of debt to support THIEIR SUB - their nation. So, you have a choice to make. You can go deeper in the ocean of debt at the risk of your own nation's peril, or you can attempt to begin the process of returning to the surface, which the Israeli crew will not like, and may attack the sub in protest. If they can't have it, nobody can. They will view your attempt to return to the surface (cutting spending on them) as a betrayal. They may already have a bomb on board the sub and are holding the sub hostage. This is the peril of "dual citizenship". I leave it up to you to determine if that bomb is already on board the sub and they have actually hijacked the sub. But make no mistake about it. You are in danger, and that danger grows the longer you stay submerged.
